I must say, this was a nice way to wrap up 2019, and this was also an alright way to start 2020. Our America's Game II contestants took home $305,731 in cash and prizes, this week. Highlights from this week include the Bonus Round wins on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, Thursday's $10,000 Mystery Wedge win, which we haven't seen in a while, and some nice second place finishes, as well. Let's hope the rest of the month goes by pretty well, especially since January seems to be an unlucky month for this show.
I hope you all are ready to get used to seeing Vanna back in the host's position, because next week is Weekend Getaways, and this will be the third (and final) week where Vanna will take over as host. Vanna is taking over because this week was filmed during Pat's recovery. Also, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will not be standing in Vanna's place at the puzzle board. Instead, a very special guest will occupy that role. Last season, Weekend Getaways did decent, despite the painful Million Dollar loss. Hopefully, this season's version does well, too, sans a $100K/$1M loss.
Note: We are on the British Landscapes set, which is going to air later this month. Despite Pat's message in the clip at the beginning, this is also the first post-surgery taped episode to air.
