Pam & Bronson McGuire are high-school sweethearts who have been together for 12 and a half years and married for two and a half. Bronson is a dietary cook at a hospital, and both of them enjoy hiking and going to the gym.
Kaua & Erich Jackson have been married for six years. Erich is a 19-year police veteran, and the couple have two daughters, Bailey and Kay. They actually met for the first time at court - thankfully, Erich did NOT arrest Kaua.
Julia & Lyle Keanini were college sweethearts and have been married for eight years. Lyle was born and raised on Molokai but is now a deputy prosecuting attorney for the County of Maui where they now live with their five-year-old son Zeke. Julia grew up in Kailua, Oahu, and is an aspiring young-adult author with international connections - collectively, she and her sister's children have nationalities from six different continents!

ROUND 1: FOOD & DRINK
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Julia & Lyle start on the $500 near the orange $900 with two N's. They buy the pair of E's and half a dozen A's before spinning again and hitting the Alaskan cruise, which they pick up with a couple of L's! They buy two I's, but they can't avoid spinning forever, and the LOSE A TURN gets them.
Pam & Bronson hit the $500 just vacated by the prize for the only T, then $800 for an S. But the next wedge on the wheel is LOSE A TURN, and it gets them too.
Kaua & Erich get $650 for the G (as in guy). After clearing the last vowel, the lone O, they return to $650 for the pair of M's...
_ O M E M A _ E
I T A L I A N
L A S A G N A
...and cook up a HOMEMADE ITALIAN LASAGNA for $1,700, which is bumped to the $2,000 team minimum.
Lose a Turn: Keaninis, McGuires
Retired Unclaimed: $2,550 + Prize ($1,250 + Prize from the Keaninis, $1,300 from the McGuires)
Julia & Lyle: $2,000
Pam & Bronson: $1,000
Kaua & Erich: $2,000
ROUND 2 (MYSTERY ROUND): SAME LETTER
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _
Pam & Bronson land on the $500 next to the orange $900 as the Keaninis did last round, and they start with the S. They stay out of Lose a Turn and stop on $800, but the T is trash.
Kaua & Erich spin a little too strongly, and do end up in the LOSE A TURN.
Julia & Lyle make it all the way around to $900 and get two L's in the process, but the E comes up a dud.
Pam & Bronson get the R on $650 and then go to $550, where they miss with M.
Kaua & Erich pick up a $600 C to get some cash. They successfully buy the trio of A's, but then repeat the already-called E.
Julia & Lyle buy the I and two O's to close the vowel store for the round. Then they try P on $700 and pay for it with their turn.
Pam & Bronson hit the same $700 and call D, which is the Same Letter - they find four of them, plus the $1,000 bonus...
D A _ C I _ _
D A S _ _ O A R D
D O L L
...and while a DANCING DASHBOARD DOLL could probably be found at the dollar store, the McGuires net $4,950 for finding it here!
Duds: T (McGuires), E (Keaninis), M (McGuires), P (Keaninis)
Lose a Turn: Jacksons
DQ: Repeated E by the Jacksons
Retired Unclaimed: $1,150 ($1,050 from the Keaninis, $100 from the Jacksons)
Julia & Lyle: $2,000
Pam & Bronson: $5,950
Kaua & Erich: $2,000
ROUND 3 (PRIZE PUZZLE/EXPRESS ROUND): PROPER NAMES
_ _ _ / _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Kaua & Erich clear by Bankrupt to the $900 space and put the N on the board. An A seems to be indicated, and in fact there are two for the Jacksons to buy. Then they land on $700, picking a pair of R's and earning some cash with which to buy a couple of O's. They flirt with Bankrupt, but halt at $650 and call the double D's before purchasing a pair of E's. Two I's close out the vowels for the round, so they must spin, and so they do, for a $600 L. Next up on their flipper is the big $3,500 wedge, and there are three S's! However, they choose to spin again and the LOSE A TURN hits them for the second time.
Julia & Lyle have no better luck with their spin, BANKRUPTing near Free Play.
Pam & Bronson will NOT risk a spin...
R E D / S O _

A N D / _ E L _ I _ S
...but they WILL visit the home of the RED SOX PATRIOTS AND CELTICS, which is to say, Boston! No cash for them, but a fine trip featuring a stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel still adds $11,040 to their lead!
Bankrupt: Keaninis (loss of turn)
Lose a Turn: Jacksons
Retired Unclaimed: $13,700 (Jacksons)
Julia & Lyle: $2,000

ROUND 4: PHRASE
_ / _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _

I thought we might have a bit of time, but the bells disagree. Instead, this will be a full speed-up round.
Final Spin: $600 -----> $1,600 per consonant
Julia & Lyle: T - 3
Pam & Bronson: S - dud
Kaua & Erich: R - 1
Julia & Lyle: L - 3, A LITTLE MORE TALK... (incomplete guess)

Julia & Lyle: I - 2
A / L I T T L _ / _ I R _

Julia & Lyle solve A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME for $9,600 more, but the vowel causes them to come up short of the win.
Duds: S (McGuires), P (McGuires)
Retired Unclaimed: $1,600 (Jacksons)
MAINGAME TOTALS:
Julia & Lyle: $14,600
Pam & Bronson: $16,990
Kaua & Erich: $2,000
$100,000 BONUS ROUND:

The bonus puzzle is FOOD & DRINK tonight. The standard six, RSTLNE, give the McGuires...
_ L _ _ _ _
_ _ N _ _ _ E S
Their choices of P, D, M, and A fill the bottom line a bit...
_ L _ _ _ _
P A N _ A _ E S
The McGuires figure out that the second word is PANCAKES, but never make a coherent guess at the entire puzzle, which was FLUFFY PANCAKES. They failed to cash in on the $32,000 minimum prize.
Pam & Bronson's Final Total: $16,990 ($5,950 cash, plus the Boston trip)
