Despite the messy R3, I’m glad our contestants won big totals, especially Xavier. He had some pretty bad luck. Oh, and it looks like we’re finally allowing contestants from Arizona (after Nevada and Tennessee). Is Oregon next?
I thought the food in R1 was MUFFINS, but I no-lettered the first half of R2. But...what does R4 have to do with the theme? Just kidding. 😂
I thought the BR was WAFFLE during the timer. I highly doubt Stephanie would’ve solved that puzzle without those Z’s…
My rating: 6 7 Weekly rating: 6
Hopefully, next week produces more BR cheer.

James and Brandi had a good match, though I kinda wish the former went for the L’s in the PP (it wouldn’t matter anyway). It’s a shame Davina couldn’t share the goodies.
At least the lyrics in R4 are from a familiar song. And I quickly nailed the Triple Toss-Ups.
I got the BR with RSTLNE, and although FGHI would’ve been a perfect combo, I cheered when Brandi chose her letters and easily solved that puzzle!

Our midweek episode wasn’t that special either, but Jeff and Nyaesha seemed to love top dollar. But I’m stumped as to why the former would pick a P so early in the Final Spin.
The PP mattered for Tasha to win, though. And the BR was another toughie (I thought it was HIKING until the B popped up). Why’d they have to add UTAH here?!

The front game wasn’t that special, but this episode’s trio was locked in a tight match until the Final Spin. Too bad Marianne couldn’t take the sparkly green wedge to the BR.
I thought TTU2 would be (YOU) BETTER NOT CRY. But I had to look up the solution to TU2 to jog my memory.
But the BR was pretty brutal, and I’m sure younger viewers don’t say JAUNT. Honestly, before I guessed FAINT with Meinir’s picks, I thought it was JOINT with RSTLNE. (Definitely not a family-friendly guess.) 😂
But seriously, there’s no way Meinir would’ve solved that.

The kickoff to this year’s Secret Santa sweepstakes sure picked things up from the PP onward.
I’m surprised Kelly picked the only bad vowel in R1 and our trio took a while figuring out R4. At least Kelly had a great Express ride and swept the Triple Toss-Ups.
Speaking of said round, I love orange chicken, both homemade and from Panda Express! And I no-lettered CLAUS and SUIT in R1.
Believe it or not, I got the BR with RSTLNE. Perhaps Kelly needed the G’s and O’s to solve that one.

Did they skip the $10K Mystery SPIN ID during last year's Secret Santa too? I don't remember that being omitted before. No one won $10K during last year’s sweeps.

R4 would have been a good bonus puzzle, but they haven't used Title since 2008 I believe.
Bonus puzzle was terrible and I couldn't figure it out. I said BEGINNING TO BUBBLE and about five or six other words. Never would have gotten FIZZLE. I have literally never heard FIZZLE without the word "out" after it, and some quick Googling shows I'm in the right here. That was almost as bad as LIKE A HAWK in terms of "abritrarily remove words to make the puzzle harder".

The end of round 2 was odd-- there was an awkward few seconds of dead air where the reveal of the $10k winner would've been as if they were going to do the giveaway and then Pat threw to commercial.
Round 3 was just Bankrupt after Bankrupt and felt like it took up half the show. Pat yelling at the wheel was funny.
Another tough bonus round, not as bad as Tuesday and Wednesday though. I was thinking it was BEGINNING TO BUBBLE. Loved Pat commenting about who it was there laughing at her TINKLE guess.

Except for that disastrous R3, it was a fine game to close out part 1 of the sweeps.
I accidentally spoiled myself on a comment on Andy’s WoF site about the BR results, so I had it from RSTLNE.

One of the "Kings" of Wheel's early Syndicated life just passed away (figured this goes here since he had a direct connection to the show)

Did anyone else think the PLAYING in TU2 was unnecessary? It could have just said SIMON SAYS. Half the Fun & Games puzzles are like that now. They don't even like short Toss-Ups anymore. The Toss-Ups either need to have a bunch of unnecessary words added, or they have to be something so stretched to fit to the theme and/or outdated culture that it takes until three letters or less are left for it to get solved.

BR was disappointing, but at least we got a funny missolve out of it (BEGINNING TO TINKLE) that made the people in the studio laugh.

I wonder if people are like "Why was there no Spin ID tonight?" when the $10K mystery prize was won. It's already included in that contestants winnings which go to a member so it makes sense not to throw a Spin ID in when the mystery wedge was won
Pat yelling at the wheel in R3 didn't teach it a lesson
Had Beginning To but I was searching my mind for the last word
4 hard bonus puzzles this week. That flat out sucked. You guys can do better than that
