MarioGS, the relentless pessimism is a bit excessive. To be honest, on a show which has NEVER had the BR rate be much above 50%, one could argue that since the first 3 times the million showed up in the BR it was won, we were due for a span of 4 losses to counter that. Tonight's was particularly painful and the coup de grace at the end of a rotten episode but I promise that they are not scripting this to happen. We are just in a run of terrible luck. For one, the million was actually in AMERICA'S tonight. For two, this puzzle was legitimately very easy if you called the right "What are you Doing" letters. Just no luck. Given that we have had already had 3 wins this month, I bet this January does better than many.

All I can say about it is:
WORST EPISODE OF THE ENTIRE SERIES. PERIOD.
I really can’t think of another Wheel Of Fortune episode that has pissed me off this much. Ah well, maybe playing some Smash Bros will cheer me up.

I can think of several, including ACHILES dumb guy.
The hyperbole when this happens is insane.

WORST EPISODE OF THE ENTIRE SERIES. PERIOD. Not even close, not even for the syndicated version. There is a shopping era episode from Season 2 where the contestant finished with only $600 (only $1,400 was awarded in the whole show, low even for 1985, and the Bonus Puzzle went unsolved with ST_TE _L__ER revealed).
Here, we had the totals close to what one might expect on an average day. All three Toss-Ups were solved, Round 1 was a good total, and the Speed-Up was at least solved for well above the house minimum. The $1,000,000 post-buzzer was just a matter of bad luck (we might as well also rat out those TPiR $1,000,000 Spectacular specials where the contestant stopped about a centimeter short of $1.00 during a Bonus Spin).

And the "KNOWN FACT" incident.

Nancy, the contestant who solved POWER WINDOWS was blue.
Also in terms of last night's Huge Loss, she should have gotten the puzzle.
Something tells me that Sony does NOT want the big prizes won and therefore i will agree that the puzzles have gotten difficult over the years.
I probably should not say this, but maybe they should retire the bonus wheel and the MDW and go back to using the WHEEL envelope holder and offer cars and $3X,000 since that is all they want to give away nowadays.

Well, so much for that. The first three $100K winners were red then.
At this point, retiring the Million is not an option, and going back to the WHEEL envelopes would require effort to think of big prizes that can be won.

And the "KNOWN FACT" incident. Okay, maybe I was exaggerating a bit, but still, I think it was the episode that ticked me off the most. Now worst episode of the season? Most definitely.

Well since you put it that way, aside from the 3 $1,000,000 winners, and them going to Hawaii in Season 32, im curious as to why is the show having budget issues?

An additional note: I've never heard of RUM CAKE before. Who makes a cake out of an alcoholic beverage?!

This may sound childish, but did anybody actually wind up throwing a tantrum over that million-dollar loss?

Eh, the contestant pool is steadily getting worse. Plus the silly BR minimum raises.

I can think of several, including ACHILES dumb guy. The hyperbole when this happens is insane. We have a whopping 4 $1M losses in Wheel history. How is that not insane? Somebody tell me already!

It’s becoming like the $100K: more losses than wins.

This ridiculous amount of hyperbole and relentless pessimism is absolutely ridiculous. It's a game show, stuff happens, the show is not cursed (but maybe extraordinarily unlucky at the moment). Fitting for a show called Wheel of FORTUNE.
As for this, you're all making yourselves look foolish. Enough's enough.
