Information about the road show theme used in Seattle in 1995 has recently surfaced. I thought I'd share that information with you all since it appears no one brought it up here yet.
While checking out some related videos, I came across the intro music used when the show was in Atlanta in 1996 for Olympic Kickoff Week.
Now while I cannot find the road theme used in Wheel's 3000th celebratory episode at the moment, I think I provided us all a very good avenue to start, especially when it's considered how that theme and the theme used in Seattle are quite similar to one another.

They used this theme when they taped episodes in Chicago, which aired in 2008. And when I first heard it I thought it was a composition by Frankie Blue, until I found out the theme was also used in 1995.

^^ They also used the theme in 1997 for San Diego. If you look on Killer Tracks, you'll find shorter cuts of that full theme.
I also made a montage of just a few of the generic themes used over the years on Wheel, before I discovered the full clean theme myself:

Pardon the bump, but here's the full NYC 2007/2013 road show montage theme, albeit with Pat saying, "30 years!" during the whole thing at one point. Combined with a portion of the theme from another video, I intend to create a version 2.0 of that montage video I uploaded back in May.

I wish we could find a clean copy of the music Pat and Vanna walked out to in Miami / San Diego (I'm pretty sure it was used on some other road shows, too [maybe Vegas at some point?].). But, of all the roadshow themes, I think the country version is my favorite.

The only things you might want to add at some point is the Alaskan Cruise Week (from LA) intro from Season 12 and 13 and the Atlanta intro from season 13...both of those are available clean online which I can provide links for....also I have to look at the Season 21 New York shows and see what they used...I can’t remember off the top of my head. But again, phenomenal job! I should be thanking you for aiding me in the discovery of some of these cues. I would've never gotten the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale or the 2005 New Orleans theme without your contributions. I don't recall what they used for New York in 2003 either. The episodes we do have don't even have a montage, so there's that. I did remember the Atlanta intro not too long after uploading that update of the themes. I don't recall that Alaskan Cruise Week from season 12, or that intro, but I've likely overlooked it. Thanks though! As soon as I figure out how the Alaskan Cruise Week music was used (where to edit), I'll certainly update my montage compilation. |
