You could check the timeline for that, i think for daytime though it would be Christmas In New York since all players were flown in from NY

They had various "themed weeks" since the 80s I believe, but they did not really start until the video wall at center stage debuted in 1996 (I believe).

Usually the theme is the city name Eg. If they go to NY so the theme called new York.

One of the 1st "themed" week that I can remember is "Boston" in December 1982, when Vanna 1st joined the show. (Specifically: Decemeber 12, 1982.) If I am wrong, please correct me someone.

1981, December 28 the monday after original host Chuck Woolery left, the Christmas in New York episode was Chuck's final show, aired on Christmas Day 1981

To be technical, "Christmas in New York (Chuck's Last Show)" was just for 1 day...it was not a whole week.

The hourlong episodes at the moment are the first special episodes because there is no special episode prior to Dec. 15 1975 as far as we know
