Taping is continuing as originally planned. Instagram posts confirm Friday's tapings were for Surfin' Safari, as originally planned. As the schedule stands now, this will be the first aired week to be taped with no audience that wasn't hosted by Vanna.
Trips are still being offered, but with a narrower choice of location. Barbados is known to have been offered at least once on Surfin' Safari week.
I have also been told that contestants are being instructed to avoid touching Pat in any way, including handshakes and Pat taking women's hands in the Bonus Round.

We have 6 upcoming weeks that have been taped already. That gets us to May 1. So starting May 4 we will probably have no new episodes for a while. What are they going to do during this time of no new episodes? Reruns maybe?

^I think they would have to because they have a contract to air episodes every weekday (with the exception of preemptions). If this were to happen and they added extra weeks to make up for the canceled weeks like On Holiday week, Summer Reruns would either be shortened or the first week of Season 38 would be delayed, which would mess up the schedule, as Season 38 would probably go into July 2021. I think that if there are any more canceled weeks, they won't have the usual 195 episodes. I also am surprised that they added an extra week to make up for On Holiday week because the show counted the reruns in that week as new episodes.

Taping should resume in May. Here's what I'm thinking they should do. Whenever taping resumes they should make up the shows that would have originally aired in May and in the summer instead of doing summer reruns they could air the missed weeks in May. When the missed episodes are done airing they can air reruns until September and then Season 38 will start in September which is the usual time the season begins

^I doubt taping will resume in May. This only happened in Season 32 because they wanted to get shows done before they went to Hawaii. The show has never taped in June and taping usually begins in July.

I just want Season 37 to have 195 episodes. And new episodes have aired in the summer before. July 13 - 17 of 2009 There's a good chance COVID-19 will still be contagious for quite awhile. So they might try but they might have to just cancel. |

^ I expected taping to resume in May. Reason I expected May is because the CDC has told the world to hold off events of 50 people or more for 8 weeks. We will be in May when the 8 week mark hits. I sure hope it isn't contagious in June or July
