Heh, Tony keeps everyone in studio and extra 20-30 minutes. The sequence of events there was quite funny. What a show to watch, it was electric in there, congrats Tony!

^ The category issue was that the Bonus puzzle (ON THE HIGHWAY) was categorized as Phrase, but they felt it should have been Place.
That's correct. The show determined that "Place" may have been a more appropriate category for that puzzle, and in the interest of fairness, invited me back.
I mentioned it elsewhere but it bears repeating... I am very thankful to Harry Friedman and everyone at Wheel of Fortune for doing this. They certainly didn't have to, but I am grateful that they did.

Hmm, yeah, that's fair. Honestly, IMO ambiguous ones like that probably shouldn't be there in the first place.

Congrats Tony. I remember meeting you during Outdoor Week in 2017. I remember our day of taping and it had a few hitches. He is right, you need to know that wheel. I'm excited for you. No Mississippi River Cruise wedge this time...

Congrats Tony! Well done on your return to the show. I do have a question if you have a chance: how are they handling the trip to Barbados you won in the prize puzzle? Are they making you take the trip after COVID-19 dies down or are they giving you some sort of equivalent prize?

I heard from the prize company on this yesterday. They aren't offering equivalent prizes (i.e. cashing out the trips), but they are being flexible about the time constraints. Normally the window that you have to take a trip is anywhere between 100-365 days from your air date. They are now offering flexibility on the end of that timeline, so instead of me being required to complete my trip by April 6th, 2021, they will extend that a bit if needed because they aren't booking any travel currently through July, and they have been cancelling booked trips on a rolling 3 month window (so May-June-July 2020 trips were just canceled and they will re-book those for contestants affected).
Christian, myself, and Dave all won trips to Barbados, so who knows, if the timing works out, we'll have a Wheel Alums meet-up there!

Tony, you KILLED IT on your return trip! Just glad the women each won a Toss-Up, because you pretty much dominated. I thought TU1 was SCENIC TRAIL even though that’s a PLACE, but otherwise, I was a pretty fast solver this episode. I nailed R1 with just the A’s, R2 with the T’s, R3 with the G, and R4 with the N’s. I had the BR with RSTLNE. You scared me a bit when you didn’t call the hot B’s, but a 5-second $45K win is nothing to sneeze at! My rating: 9 10!Tony, all I can say is – you rock! Enjoy your winnings!
