First thing I noticed is holy crap the set looks nice. I know it's just for a tie-in, but the bright colors look really good. Unfortunately, Cookie Run is a free-to-play match-three mobile game with microtransactions using real-world money. It looks like pretty much any other such game that came out after Candy Crush exploded in popularity.

Definitely a trippy look. Can't wait to hear Pat's comments on the set that week.

I was on Wheel's site just now, and I decided to read about an upcoming sweepstakes that will take place on the week of September 21st. While there, I saw some photos toward the bottom of the page (specifically the last two photos) that offer a sneak peek of the new podiums. www.wheeloffortune.com/win/cookie-jam-giveawayWest Coast ABC viewers are gonna miss the first night of this sweepstakes due to the Saints Raiders game being broadcasted nationally on ABC. It's being broadcasted nationally on ABC to celebrate 50 years of Monday Night Football. Hope you West Coast ABC viewers get a chance to see the first night of that week by either your affiliate moving it to a different time, watching the bot uploads on YouTube, or getting a copy of the episode from someone. I'm a Raiders fan btw. Definitely watching that game that night. Im an East Coast viewer so I'm not affected that night

However, if the game runs too long, stations that air J! before Wheel may move J! to Wheel's slot, like most did during the political conventions last month.

Hopefully Mike stops the downward spiral. This is why I’m glad Friedman left Wheel. It’s obvious by now he doesn’t even care about it.

You do realize the Onion is satire, right? Plus, the article is dated December 16, 1998, nearly 22 years ago, and believe me, if Wheel had decided to use such phrases, it would NOT still be airing in a 7:00 p.m timeslot.

Either you fell for an Onion article or you are here to troll.

Never mind then. I wasn’t intending to do any harm. Sometimes I’m such an idiot. I got wind of it on Game Show Forum. Redacted my post. Never falling for it again.
Anyway, I hope Mike reverses the downward spiral or at least doesn’t worsen it. There’s still Free Play, the Million Dollar wedge, an overuse of $650, and the $38,000 prize, but at least he shouldn’t become another Friedman.

That's okay, sometimes it can get to the best of us. I apologize if I came off too abrasive in my reply.
I am actually optimistic with Mike's appointment to EP. If his time at TPIR tells us anything, it is that he is not afraid to cherish a franchise's history. He brought back Bob a few times, made a few set changes that hearkened back to the old days, and worked to modernize the show without damaging its legacy. Many were skeptical before he came on board, but all in all, I think most clearheaded people thought that he did a good job.

Yeah, I loved Mike’s work on Price too. There’s still budget to worry about, but that’s more Sony than anything else. And apology accepted.

I'm guessing there won't be any real major changes while Pat and Vanna are still hosting, or at least not in Mike's first season. Right now the show just focused on making things COVID safe and compatible, so it's understandable there's no real changes besides what was done to comply with the new safety standards. It's possible he'll start putting his touch onto things more next season.

Jim goes in-depth with the changes.
It looks like they're putting cutouts of people as stand-ins for contestants to test the shots. Look at the monitor behind Jim at the beginning.

I would guess the set will be as is at least for this season, and perhaps they'll give it another facelift next season.
