Jumping forward to the fourth week of 2007 and this is quite an interesting week IMO.

_ _ _ _ _ _
Brian knows the theme as he quickly gets THE ROYAL PALACE. The first three contestants this week...
Brian Dunford: Mason, OH. Junior at some college in Charleston, SC majoring in international business w/ a minor in Spanish. Member of the Sigma Chi fraternity & does on-campus tour guides.
April Reed: Nashville, TN. Bartender who's married to John (a songwriter) w/ a grown daughter & a new grandson.
Jimmie Edwards (female): Tulsa, OK. Married to Cass (they're both retired, the hubby served in the military) for 29 yrs. w/ 4 children, 6 grandchildren & a great-grandchild.
Brian seems pumped up to be here. And Jimmie sounds a bit too familiar...

Sorry, guys - April blows it with SPAM FILLER, so we have the second tossup TRIPLE STUMPER of the season. It was SPAM FILTER (Pat: Although Spam Filler would be a good recipe I would think.).
Featured Prize: Athens, Greece via the Greek National Tourism Organization w/ Olympic Airlines airfare worth $7,000 (prize wedge marked EUROPE for the entire wk.)
Gift Tag: IKEA
Pat then said that the $2,000 unclaimed from the last puzzle would go to Charlie's Bail Bond Fund.
$10,000 Round: Show Biz
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _
Brian's off and running with a $5,000 T pair, 3 $400 R's (near $550), 4 E's, 2 N's for the FREE SPIN, 3 I's & 2 O's, and 2 $600 S's (near BANKRUPT). Once he wipes out the vowel shop with 3 A's, he's eager to solve...

R A _ _ A E _ / R A _
Yep, he knows that's TELEVISION PERSONALITY RACHAEL RAY (her home got damaged recently due to a fire; read here) for $6,400. PERFECTION!
Pre-Round 2 Scores:
Brian: $7,400 + FS
April: Spinning Next
Jimmie: Didn't hear from her.
Three L's, but I'd doubt he's complaining a bit. Also, there are standby players if Brian actually passes out here.

Aspercreme Jackpot Round: Food & Drink
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ($5,000)
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _
April starts her spinning journey with a R on the same $400, but then L for loss while on the same $600.
Jimmie's first spin nets her a $600 S. After that comes a $500 N, but then LOSE A TURN. Brian calls 2 $800 D's, but then I for invalid and decides to keep his FS.
April misses with an M, so it's back to Jimmie: a $900 C, 4 E's, but then P for phooey while on EUROPE. Brian then picks up the WILD CARD with 4 B's (Waste!)...
B _ R B E C _ E D ($9,100)
B _ _ E D / B E _ N S
...this would fit under SAME LETTER nowadays, but he has some BARBECUED BAKED BEANS for another $1,350.

Lose a Turn: Jimmie
Pre-Round 3 Scores:

Jimmie insta-BANKRUPTS next to $600, so it's off to Brian: 2 T's on a different $400, 3 $700 N's, 2 $600 S's, E, 2 A's & 3 I's, 2 $550 G's, U & 2 O's to clean out the vowels...but then LOSE A TURN and you bet he's using that FS. His next spin almost his that same space, but he still gets $1,600 from a couple of H's...

...and this enthusiastic man needs to be SHOPPING FOR A NEW BATHING SUIT for his trip to the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach and Villa resort in JAMAICA (incl. airJamaica airfare) worth $7,500. Added to the $5,550 in cash, he's won $13,050 that round.
And if you're Spin ID JB0041713, you were, like, 13 years too late. I hope you had a Sony Card.
Lose a Turn: Brian (used FS)
Bankrupt: Jimmie
Pre-Tossup 3 Scores:
Brian: $21,800 cash & JAM + WC
April: Gooseegg Alert
Jimmie: Same as April
Brian's currently fanning himself with his WILD CARD. And it’s a good thing he saved the FS for this round as well. Also, it would've been funny had the trip been to Mexico given his minor.

$100,000 Bonus Round
The German cars on this set are a 2007 BMW 3-Series coupe (I think it's the 328i model) and a 2007 Volkswagen Passat sedan (they're both used on the S24 finale). After Pat says that the show's coming to Charleston in a couple of weeks (some of the old music cues will be updated by then), Brian introduces his mom and friends Sarah & Heather in the audience.
His strong spin lands on the $.

He doesn't really WORK OUT THE KINKS, so no $50,000 for him. He really doesn't seemed to be bothered by it as he's taking home $24,100 cash & trip. I doubt the WC would've been of any use at all.
Closing Chat: The guys from Sony did some remodeling outside of the set.
My Rating: 7 (Brian brought it up for me.)
Tomorrow, we'll look at Thursday's episode from said week with a rather unique contestant scenario.
