According to the show credits section of the revamped website, Pat is now credited as a Consulting Producer. Pretty sure this is new.

^ Basically, it means that Pat's lending a hand to Richards and helping him direct the show depending on where it's lagging.

Personally, I find it to be an interesting change and maybe we'll see less of the stuff that bugs the host himself.

Also, Ken Jennings serves as consulting producer for the sister show next season.
