Before I cover tonight's episode, I'd like to back up a statement that I said from one of the show's most recent episode about a speedup puzzle that took all vowels to be picked before solving.
Voila, here it is. I know there was another one from 3/19/02 (PLASTIC STRAWS; genius2751 covered it), but it's here for proof. Lucas Cox also uploaded all of the episodes from this movie-themed week, so I may cover the others as well if I have the time.
WHEEL GOES TO THE MOVIES
AIR DATE: 5/28/04
This Week's Intro: Entrance of a Loews movie theater showing the name of the week. Entrance to SPS.
$1,000 Tossup: Phrase
A _ D / _ H E
W _ _ _ _ _ / I S
AND THE WINNER IS...Pam. These players concluded this week...
Pam Peyton: Kansas City, MO. Accountant who has 4 kids & 2 grandkids. Enjoys (casino) boating, bowling and bingo.
Ralph Covington: Concord, NC. Psychotherapist & counselor (Pat mentioned that he had a calming prescence) who was born in 1947 on the same week the incident happened in Roswell, NM (explains why he's so interested in extraterrestrial life; he also had 3 close encounters). Has 2 sons, a daughter-in-law, and 4 grandkids.
Kristina Morgan: Fair Oaks, CA. Recruitment officer for the state of California (in human resources). Married to her "year after high school sweetheart" Scott w/ a 3.5-yr.-old daughter named Haley Burt (she distracts her from the show).
Pat wonders why those extraterrestrials always land on swamps and talk to people drinking beer. Ralph's response: Everyone needs friends. And I'm sure the ladies (CC misspelled Kristina's first name as Christina BTW) didn't have a close encounter at all.
$2,000 Tossup: People

Kristina: Called one lousy dud.
