Yeah, I noticed they started applying this at the end of The Rachael Ray Show this week... on Friday. Literally an end of the week change. Kinda bizarre.

The logo actually debuted on the 11th. It’s part of CBS’s new “uniform” branding, as both the official network ID and the CBS Studios logo have the same animation.

^ Wheel was still using the CBS TVD logo last week.
I wonder if the Saturday reruns will update the logo as well. They still use the older Sony Pictures Television logo.

Judge Judy now uses the Media Ventures logo on new episodes, but reruns continue to use the TVD logo.

Like the Sony change, this reflects that we're now in the post-TV age in that multiple platforms are integral to audiovisual media in general. Of course, CBS Media Ventures has its origins in Wheel's distribution as King World. If you don't know, the Sony Pictures Studios logo changed a few weeks ago to add a short fanfare at the end, moving the company's signature G-pitch "ding" to the first half of the logo.

^ Actually, they started doing that last weekend, on January 30.  Tonight's rerun of Jeopardy! still had the CBS TVD and SPT logos, though. |
