www.nexttv.com/news/syndication-ratings-wheel-of-fortune-takes-a-spin-at-the-top-of-gamesFor the first time since January 2019, Wheel of Fortune was the highest rated syndicated game show without a tie for the week of February 8-12, 2021. Not only that, but it was the highest rated show in all of syndication for that week, even beating Judge Judy. This may have been the first time since 2011 that this happened, when Judy began overtaking Wheel thanks to Nielsen's then-new rule counting multiple daily runs of shows cumulatively. Judy offers four runs, Family Feud offered four runs for most of the Steve Harvey era, increased to six this season, Jeopardy! offers two runs (though they're counted separately), and Wheel only offers one. This was mostly thanks to the previous President's impeachment trials taking up most of daytime TV that week, pre-empting the other syndie juggernauts in markets that air them in the afternoon, such as Jeopardy!'s 4:30 EST time slot on WLS in Chicago, and Judge Judy's 4:00 slot on WCBS in New York. Since Wheel is not allowed to regularly air before 7:00 EST in the US, it was not affected by the proceedings since they never went that late. This was the week before Wheel got added to Netflix, and ironically, also the week that multiple stations screwed up an episode by cutting it off during R1 and replacing the rest of it with the previous day's show. CWOF likely brought some new viewers to the syndie version as well, no doubt.
