CWOF coming back for season 2 is a promising sign for sure, but I can't help but wonder how it will fare in a Sunday night death slot against Sunday Night Football. Maybe in the age of DVR it matters slightly less, who knows? Not sure about this year's fall schedule, but the Thursday Fun & Games rotation was perfect last winter and would have made more sense to be replicated for these shows.
But then again, I'm not a big wig executive at ABC.
Perhaps they have realized that there are enough people out there that don't care about football games (and that number may have increased in the recent years with issues in the NFL itself) that they figure they will do well by catering to that audience?

^ Look, I love CWOF as much the next person, but putting it up against night games that routinely averaged approximately 17 million viewers per week is not where you want to see the show slotted as a fan hoping for consistent renewals. And yes, there are more than enough people who still do care about the NFL that would watch in numbers that would trounce anything that is aired opposite it. The ABC execs are well aware a game show won't pull ratings anywhere near football. They are clearly banking on the show getting a strong second place showing. After all, Supermarket Sweep had abysmal ratings on Sunday nights and still got renewed.
Now, if we had a "Wednesday Fun & Games" kind of like what they are doing this summer, that could put more eyes on the show and put it in a much stronger position for season 3 (Thursday nights in the fall would still run against football).
The contestants for the Season 2 premiere (#201) are: Jason Alexander/Michael Mizanin/Cheryl Burke
Make that Cheryl Burke/Jason Alexander/Michael Mizanin.
A promo just aired on ABC featuring clips from this episode and a few others. A few other known positions: Anthony Anderson is yellow, Jeff Garlin is yellow, Vivica A. Fox is red, Jason Mraz is blue, and one clip shows Raven at yellow and Tori Spelling at blue in the same episode (Not sure who red is in the clip. Jodie Sweetin maybe?)
Watch the promo at your own risk because there are some huge spoilers.
Someone, possibly Jason Alexander, wins the million with the puzzle BRAN MUFFIN (or MUFFINS). Whatever the case, Vanna wears a black sleeveless dress with sequined "leaves" on this episode.

A new promo was posted on social media today. There are now separate Twitter and Instagram accounts for CWOF, instead of sharing with the main show. This one doesn't have as many spoilers as the one that aired on TV last night.
The narrower name tag font is now permanent, and more matchups and/or positions are known:
Whomever Caroline and Vanilla Ice are grouped with wins at least one half, since those two are watching someone else play the Bonus Round. It is likely that Bonus Round is won since the lights are moving; they usually remain still followng a loss.
Joey Fatone is not grouped with either of his fellow GSN hosts; African American hands are seen at the red and blue podiums in his clip, which rules out Brooke Burns and John Michael Higgins.
Somebody solves a bonus puzzle that is eight or nine monitors wide, starts with the letters HO, and has another word that starts with T followed by either an E, H, R, or U: H O ? ? ? ? ? ? ? T ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

DGE Press has publicity pictures for the Season 2 premiere of CWOF (Cheryl/Jason/Michael). Using the metadata trick that wheelfan82 discovered, Cheryl Burke/Jason Alexander/Michael Mizanin taped on June 3.
...the million dollar win, since Vanna's not wearing the black sequin leaf dress, but she does wear the pink and red outfit seen in the Season 2 promo where she's standing next to a bonus puzzle with HO- and T-.
Episode 202 is Caroline Rhea/Andy Richter/Vanilla Ice. The official episode title orders them Andy/Caroline/VI, but we know from the promos that Andy is yellow.
I watched four different affiliates' airings of this weekend's Season 37 rerun: KHOU, KKTV, WABC, and WKRN. The latter two are ABC affiliates. Both of them aired a CWOF promo right after Round 1; the other two are CBS's and obviously did not. That must be hardcoded into the episode sent to ABC's. I remember they did this with the weekday episodes before and after Season 1 premiered. Maybe now that CWOF has moved to Sundays, they're only doing this for weekend reruns. Did anyone else see this on any ABC airings of Wheel this past week?

The million dollar winner is Melissa Joan Hart. The woman seen behind the confetti when the word "ALL" is on screen is Lacey Chabert. Just before it cuts to the logo, you can see Lacey standing at the red podium, and the arm of somebody wearing black or dark blue long sleeves, which is what Tituss Burgess is wearing as shown in the previous promo. That leaves Melissa playing the Bonus Round.

This week, the CWOF promo appeared on ABC airings of syndie Wheel on four days: Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Also, ep 203 (October 10) is Donny Osmond/Jeff Garlin/Amber Riley.
When I was on my Instagram account, CWOF had a promo video on their Instagram account posting which celebrities will appear on the Season 2 premiere. And on that promo video on CWOF's Instagram account, they have a different version of "Changing Keys" and the music is a little different than the nighttime, syndicated version of Wheel.

1. It's always good to see new promotional material that's not recycling footage from the first season. Seriously, peruse that Instagram profile and look how much of it is made of clips and screenshots from last winter.
2. The new theme music sounds a million times better than the one used on the nighttime show and would actually be fit for those episodes just fine. Even though it's most likely just as synth-based, it utilizes more realistic horn and string presets and is slightly truer to the original arrangement of the song (particularly the modulation about 20 seconds into the promo). Nothing indicates that it would be too "glitzy" (for lack of a better term) for the regular show.
