^ Although it looks like, according to Chuck Donegan (still very active in the game show community today), WABC did air WOF Weekend (but not J!) until 1992. Another post mentions WPVI did not carry either on weekends. They eventually did add WOF Weekend, but J! Weekend wasn't added until earlier this season, and it airs in random time slots.

WLS in Chicago has been doing Saturday reruns for as long as I can remember. I remember seeing the end credits to quite possibly a Season 11 episode very likely while Season 12 was airing either new episodes or summer reruns. It had to be a Saturday rerun because I remember either the 1989 or 1992 theme playing as well as the Wheel rug. I was never really too happy with the 1994 theme although I loved the other two themes I mentioned. So I made sure to watch the end credits because I knew this could be my last dance (part figuratively yet part literally) with either of those themes.

Later, around the time the trilon board was replaced with the electronic puzzleboard, I was aware the Saturday episodes were reruns, but not the episodes that ran during the summer break that weren't on a Saturday. This led me to believe that there was a brief period during which the trilon board was brought back on occasion for new episodes. I thought the same thing! WABC didn't start carrying the Saturday reruns until July 1999 at the latest ( wheelfan82 recently found a tape of one with a NY Lottery drawing dated such, predating my earliest recollection of the start of the 1999-2000 season), so I definitely remember them having the new board, then the old one temporarily "returning", and I was so happy because I loved the old border design so much more than the new one, then was sad after a few more months and it never came back. I wonder when the last trilon board S14 Saturday rerun was. Surely some trilon board episodes must have aired outside GSN in Summer 1998. Over half of S14 was with the trilon board, so it's pretty likely that at least one week aired again. What would be more interesting is if back in the summer of 1988, episodes with the shopping format from the first month of that season were reran since just four weeks of that season had that old format. Speaking of that summer, my earliest memories of The Price Is Right come from that summer, and it seemed strange finding that one episode with the chyroned graphics (especially the red Mark Goodson logo with the yellow asterisks, which seemed like it was brown from my 3 1/2 year mind), along with episodes with the pink Pricedown signs on the Big Wheel, and even a few episodes where Bob had his dark hair. I knew something didn't quite seem right even if I didn't know what a "summer rerun" truly was until a couple years later. But the following summer (1989), it started to click even more when some episodes had M.G. announcing and others with Charlie on different weeks. Then there were episodes that were reran during the summers of 1995, 1996, and 1997 that were actually from the previous calendar year, but somehow carried the copyright date of the current year, likely leading to some that the episodes weren't repeats. Regarding my own beliefs, I believed that in the early days of the 1989-2009 Free Spin token around Season 7, the word at the bottom said "Mice" instead of "Free" for some odd reason. I also suspected that a mice or other creature was hiding behind one of the W-H-E-E-L bonus envelopes in the early '90s, especially the $25,000.
