First of all...
Since we're nearing the Fourth of July, here it is (the Declaration of Independence was signed in this city)! This is the beginning of the three weeks the show spent at the Wachovia Center during S22.
EPISODE #4141: PHILADELPHIA
Airdate: 11/8/04
Go!
Valicia's GETTING A JUMP ON IT.
Kicking off this road trip (all from actually New Jersey):
Valicia Finch: Millville. Newlywed (she and her hubby enjoy fishing and playing pool) who's also on the worship team at her church.
Tony McGowan: Egg Harbor Township. Accountant at Harvard Township who's married to Mandy with a daughter named Sarah (they enjoy spending time in the Jersey Shore area).
Vendetta Burgess: Browns Mills. Full-time nursing student at Capitol Health System School of Nursing who's married to Michael with a teenage son (Gianni). She's working on her first novel.
Although red's nametag shows "Vendetta", Pat decides to call her "Vinnie".
Go!
Valicia's tripled up with AN UNLIKELY HERO.
MON/WED/FRI GIFT TAGS: Boscov's, Capresso
The former's a department store while the latter's a coffee company.
The puzzle reveal can be heard twice (with the first being much quieter).
The $400 spin didn't use the normal overhead shot.
PERFECTION! Valicia pinpoints THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE.
PRIZE ADDED TO WHEEL: trip to the Maruba Resort Jungle Spa (marked BELIZE) worth $6,620
JACKPOT ROUND
THIS WEEK'S SPONSOR: BrandSource
Pat mistakenly said that the pick gift tag came from Boscov's.
Valicia finally puts this round to an end and maybe she can have A TOASTED BAGEL WITH CREAM CHEESE while sipping some coffee.
DUD: N (Tony)
DQ: Vendetta's N repeat
LEFT BEHIND IN POT: $12,900
I so would've won that Jackpot...also, Vanna's at the Boathouse Row as we go to commercial.
MYSTERY ROUND
BEHIND THE WEDGE THIS WEEK: $10,000 worth of Southwest Airlines travel
Pat admitted that he messed up on the gift tag Valicia won the last round. The Boscov's one is still on the wheel.
Vendetta solves PEOPLE WHO NEED PEOPLE MAGAZINE to deny a sweep.
DUDS: S (Vendetta), R (Valicia), C (Tony)
Go!
Tony IDs RACEHORSE SALARY JONES.
Never heard of him. He's the winner of the Double Crown according to Pat.
DING DING! DING DING!
FINAL SPIN: $1,500
For some reason, the first shot of the Final Spin showed the R1 layout. And then it shows Valicia for a second right after the spin
Vendetta: 2 S's ($3,000)
Valicia: A
Tony: N ($1,500)
Vendetta: L
Valicia: M
Tony: P ($3,000)
Vendetta: K ($4,500)
Valicia: R ($1,500)
Tony: B ($4,500) (No More Consonants!)
THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN - Tony finishes in a distant second.
DUDS DURING SPEED-UP: L (Vendetta), M (Valicia)
BANKRUPT: Tony
FINAL SCORES
WINNINGS SO FAR: $29,250
BANKRUPT TRASH: $2,650

2005 Chevy SSR ($46,195)
American Cash ($25K-$50K)...
...or the motherlode ($100,000)!
Valicia's parents watch her spin to the 10's Digit.
RSTLNE gives two at the top:
CMGA gives two at the bottom...
Well, she strikes out with TAKING PACE, ADDING BRACE and TOEING. Because she didn't THINK BACK...
...another $45,000 goes down the drain. That sends Valicia home with $19,150 in cash & coffee.
Philadelphia is also known as the city of firsts, such as...
Wow, that's a lot of firsts...
Goodbye from the Boathouse Row.
The single-players edition will come soon.
