Usually, this occasional special week had siblings or parent & son or daughter as teams. But sometimes, there were also husband & wife teams playing, too. How often was this? I know it happened at least twice; May 1989 and Christmas 1989. Thanks in advance.

I believe husband and wife teams became much less common on Family Weeks, if they even appeared at all, in later years, especially when couple weeks became more common. That being said, I know of at least two weeks in the 2010's that were referred to as a Family Week, but had all couples.

Alright, you got me curious. I just went through the recap of every "Family Week" episode from Seasons 26 to now. Two "Family Weeks" - February 1-5, 2016 and March 19-23, 2018 - were all married couples. None of the other Family Weeks had couples mixed in with the usual family pairings. The last "real" Family Week to date was November 28-December 2, 2016, during Season 34, although one was known to have been planned for Season 37 before COVID cancelled it. Here are how the non-couple pairings stack up from Seasons 26-34, not counting weeks that were for specific pairings, such as "Mom & Me", "Dads & Grads", or the Disney World grandparent/grandchild week from Season 35: Two Sisters: 32 (one episode in S31 had all sisters) Mother/Daughter: 28 Brother/Sister: 20 Mother/Son: 14 Two Brothers: 14 Father/Daughter: 11 Father/Son: 7 Aunt/Niece: 1 (March 13, 2014) Aunt/Nephew: 1 (September 19, 2011) Two Cousins: 1 (December 11, 2014)

Thanks for all of this. I'm hoping they get back to doing Family Weeks again.

I actually recapped a Family Week episode with an aunt/niece team ( 11/14/06).
