According to this article, Wheel only taped 14 episodes, not 15, in Atlanta. The final week of new episodes, aired in July, is said to have aired only Monday-Thursday the 15th-18th. The Wiki claims that Friday July 19, 1996 was a repeat of the September 8, 1995 episode, and that the last episode of the season with civilian contestants was June 7. GSN reportedly skipped all but four of the Atlanta episodes (Mon-Thu, April 29-May 2) in their Season 13 rotation. The Paley Center has a copy of the July 18 episode, numbered 2534.
So does this mean that Season 13 only had 194 episodes instead of the standard 195? If not, where could this extra episode have gone? Are they any old remarks on ATGS about this? If this is true, then Wheel's episode count has been off by 1 since Season 14, and would be off by 44 today.
