Obviously what's going on in the world right precludes any remote shows from being held in the near future, particularly when general audiences are not even allowed in the Sony Pictures Studios. Hurt by the economic situation of the pandemic, cost considerations also play a factor in that decision.
That being said, when it is ready, where would the show most likely shoot new episodes outside of its home base in Culver City? Does the show still have a partnership with Disney, and would that allow it to tape episodes in a nearby location, say on the property of Anaheim's Disneyland resort? I hope the show will be able to go on the road at least once before Pat and Vanna step away from their duties, possibly even taping some celebrity shows outside of Sony.

Vegas seems most likely given the short distance and the frequent amount of times they've taped there. They probably still have a strong relationship with The Venetian and The Palazzo.

I would love to see them come back to New York City. My hope is for the show return to New York City next season (2022-2023) to celebrate their 40th anniversary and I hope they do it at my favorite place Radio City Music Hall.

Long shot (and I know I sound like a broken record), but Nashville. Please. It's been over 18 years now...

San Diego! It’s been 14 years since their last trip there. Also, it’s 2 hours from the studio (3 counting heavy traffic).

Heck, they could even go to Disneyland, which is even closer to the studio.

How about taping Wheel in downtown LA? Preferred choices: Staples Center or Microsoft Theatre.

Why? That would still cost money to move the operations there, and it’s not like more people are going to watch because they’re “in Los Angeles”.
I don’t personally see the point in road shows. You’re not gaining any new viewers, just because they’re “in Atlanta” or “in Nashville”.

^ True, taping the show in the same city is not as thrilling for LA audiences and can be an unnecessary production hassle, but it's not unprecedented either. J! held a couple College Championships on the campuses of UCLA and USC to full audiences.

The thing about remotes/road trips is that contestants and audience members are more exuberant and more energetic than being at their LA studio.

I would love them to do shows in New York City again since I live close by. I agree with Mario that Vegas is most likely, and Hawaii would be great again also.

^ Hawaii cost millions and was a big factor in why it was their last remote for a while. Season 35's Disney World remote was mostly (if not entirely) paid for by Disney. All the contestants and staff were even given rooms at Disney resorts and Park Hopper passes. Normally, contestants have to pay for their own accommodations.

I’ve often wondered how they got everything for the set over to Hawaii? I know it had to be a huge undertaking, whether it was on a boat or plane.

I'd love for them to come to locations they've never been before, like Indiana (Indy or even Fort Wayne).

It's too bad Wheel didn't do Disney World this year to promote its 50th anniversary. I honestly don't foresee much traveling until perhaps Pat/Vanna's final season, where a "this is it!" factor could lead to a memorable experience for the staff. There was a thread a while back that involved destinations that Wheel hasn't traveled to, and among them was Detroit, which is a bit odd since a certain gizmo made of wheels is among the most iconic products out of that city and has been offered on the show since day one. It's a city on the brink of a comeback, and the Little Caesars Arena or a similar venue would have been a great place to go on the road. But I'd still wager on Vegas or Orlando at this point, as after all, a certain show that's turning 50 this year has only traveled once in its history, and its to one of those places.
