It looks like WBZ has finally figured out a new system for Fridays in the fall when Patriots All Access airs in place of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! Instead of pushing them to the wee hours of the morning like they had been doing, it seems like they will simply be airing them on WSBK TV38 at their normal time. This is something I think they should have always done. I'm surprised it took them this long to figure out this solution. I often watched them on the illegal WPRI 12.

I had a feeling they would finally start doing that given the handful of times Wheel moved to WSBK this season. I had my hopes up, but when I checked their listings earlier this week, Friday's Wheel was still listed at 2:07 AM. That has since changed.  However, the 9/17 episode is still listed at 2:07 AM, but that may be a leftover copy-paste that hasn't been changed yet. |

I just realized something... They might only be doing this because tonight's J! rerun is the TOC Finals. Even before this season, WBZ's "policy" was that they do not move pre-empted syndicated programs to WSBK with the only exception being a J! tournament finale. It's possible that they simply decided to move Wheel with it this time so fans wouldn't complain as much. Wheel has never been moved to WSBK without J! being moved with it. There were multiple occasions last season where Wheel was pre-empted and J! was not, with Wheel airing overnight.
Both Zap2It and WBZ's site still have the game shows overnight next Friday. We'll see if it changes before then.

Now I think the good news has officially been cancelled out. During today's episode they had a scroll saying that the Friday episodes of Wheel and Jeopardy! will be airing on Saturday at 2:07 AM and 2:37 AM until further notice. I don't know why they got away with doing it last week, and all those other times before that. I guess maybe they really want people to watch Patriots All Access.

Yeah, the move to WSBK last week must have just been because of the J! TOC rerun. Guess they really want people to watch Big Bang Theory reruns, too.
