Sounds better that way (of course, it would sound even better with real instruments but still sounds fine).

The opening was definitely remixed. The animation is now 10 frames shorter.

I thought I heard some difference in the theme tonight, looks like I was right.

Poor Sal, she lost out on the chance at the million with the repeat I and then got nothing but the minimum.

I got the bonus puzzle just before time ran out, I figured the second word was GUIDE right away. Maybe he would've solved it with the Is or one other consonant up.

Finally got to watching the entire thing via CDixie after leaving the watch party when the PP Round ended.

Anyway, I fixed some things up (regarding prize details and last names). Shopping sprees this season are always $7K unless otherwise noted.

Not much of a fan of the music getting higher in pitch with each succeeding Toss-Up, but I guess I'll have to live with it.

Kathy definitely had a chance to dethrone the buff Jacob in the TTUs (that's the strongest Final Spin I've seen in a hot minute), but we were definitely fooled by the incorrect answer in the third one.

BR: I was hoping the D's would steer Jacob in the right direction (I got it at that point), but it wasn't meant to be.

6/10 to start this week.

The toss up music in TU2 started at a later point. Same thing happened in TTU2 and TTU3. Wonder why that was done. As I rewatch it, it feels more intense as it starts with higher pitch. Maybe they were intensifying the Triple Toss Ups.

Sal repeated I with the MDW. Painful mistake

Jacob must have thought the before part was FATHER-IN-LAW with that F call. I already knew the puzzle at that point

GROCERY STORE was a good guess. That sounded more appropriate following CONVENIENCE and CORNER STORE.

This show has an EPISODE GUIDE on Google which tells us future theme weeks. I blanked on that puzzle apparently.

Closed captioning doesn't always get the last names correctly. Andy N on his own site searches up the names of the contestants on Google to get the exact spelling of 'em.

It's not CHEK's fault. The captioning is not done by affiliates; it's the same on every airing in the US and Canada.

Normally, the captioners are given the spelling of the contestants' names by the show to make sure they get it right, but it looks like they had to guess for this episode.

I checked every contestant from last week KABC promoted and all of their surnames were spelled right. It's also odd that KABC's tweet for today's contestants doesn't mention Jacob even though Long Beach is part of the LA market.

(I am getting so sick of 80% of the contestants this season still being from California, yet over on the other show everyone is from all over just as often as they were in 2019. There are Wheel contestants that have been waiting for a tape date since 2018.)

Jacob and Kathy had a tight match.

Jacob made me nervous in the Prize Puzzle. I was rooting for Kathy to sweep the Triple Toss-Ups and take the lead back – I sure thought her guess of GROCERY on #3 was correct. And although she received the consolation prize, I hope Sal still had a good time.

I got the BR with RSTLNE, and perhaps the I’s would’ve done it for Jacob.

My rating: 6
