As some of you may know, IATSE, the union representing production crews in the entertainment industry, has overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike. Negotiations with the studios are expected to begin today and will continue indefinitely until both sides are able to mutually agree on new terms. Until then, Hollywood is essentially shut down for shooting movies and new episodes of TV shows, including Wheel.
How many weeks worth of episodes are in the can this season, and what would the game plan be if the strike length exceeds the schedule of new shows for the year? During the writers strike in '07-'08, I don't remember there being any significant impacts, but these new talks with the studios are far more tense than the ones that took place at that time.

I estimate there have been at least 10 tapings of Wheel so far this season, which means at least 11 weeks counting America's Game. The latest known non-compilation week that has already taped by airing order is the Disney Princess week airing the first week of November, and AG1 is the week after that, but that's only Week 9, so hopefully the show is set through at least Thanksgiving.
The 2007 Writers strike had no impact on Wheel.

Based on what we know about the taping and airing schedule, it looks like as of this Friday, Wheel has taped enough episodes to last through December 24 (Happy Holidays! week), plus likely a few extra episodes meant for the second America's Game week. This would be at least 50 more episodes left to air starting Monday.
CWOF Season 2 taped in its entirety.

Even after a strike, I'm sure Wheel will have enough time to get to its full season episode count. Jeopardy! has 7 additional weeks, so they're less likely to go all the way. ... Also just a personal thing, but I kinda hope it leads to December 27-31 being a rerun week. Assuming my parents drive over, that week will be impossible for me if they stick around for a few more days.

Worst-case scenario, if there are less than five AG2 shows in the can, they'll probably do what they did with the Season 37 finale week and alternate those episodes with recent AG reruns.
The tricky part is knowing which weeks had sixth episodes taped. Through 12/20, there are seven no-theme weeks, and I'm sure Disney Princess week won't have a sixth. Teacher's Week will most definitely have one, and National Parks and GAC probably will too, since they did last season. That would add up to ten AG episodes. Secret Santa and Happy Holidays did not have sixth episodes last season.
So they could very well have taped the full AG2 week, which we know is January 3-7. The question is whether they'll leave it at those dates or move it up a week to New Year's week. They probably wouldn't, since Pat probably makes a comment on January 3 about the new year. We saw how messy it was in S37 when they decided to alternate between new weeks and reruns, though - mass confusion among the GP on which eps were new, and pre-emptions on the ABC O&O's for national news repeats during the rerun weeks.
