I figured the bonus puzzle would have an adjective, though I was thinking CLAMS for the second word. I got it after the P was revealed.

"Q" was definitely one of the more interesting contestants we've had in a while.

I thought Angela had a slight chance with getting the P on the board in the bonus round, but alas she did need something on the top row too. I got it with the P revealed. At least she was nowhere near the million dollar envelope.

I also made a mistake today, posting the 4/1/05 recap on this section instead of the 2000-2008 section, confusing everyone that there were two new episodes today.

A contestant from 2/12/98 also went by the name of Q, so this wasn't the first time that happened.

This Friday romp wasn't very good (aside from that Million moment), but it got better in the back half. Q was indeed fun, but I thought Chaz's interview was a tad more interesting (it would be something if tonight's PP trip was to Maui).

I accidentally spoiled myself on R3 (yes, I scrolled over my posts), but I did no-letter R2 (which was used 1/27/03).

I also added that Q wanted to spin $5K (he did urge the wheel to go on). If he only he spun that or swept the Triple Toss-Up. Heck, it would be something if he did both and claimed the MDW...

BR: This was the other puzzle I accidentally spoiled myself on (this time by Molly the queen)...

(she needs to get on the show)

There was no way that was going to be solved. Has JUICY been won before?

5/10 for this one. As someone over Bobbymgsk would say, the rerun was better than the actual episode.

Whoops. I thought I was typing a retro recap. Thanks for fixing that error.

Like the previous episode, the first segment was lackluster, but Angela’s PP and Q’s decent second-place total improved things. Had he solved the first Triple Toss-Up, he would’ve won.

I no-lettered R2, got the PP with just the T’s (because it was used as a PP in season 31), and nailed R4 with the N’s; I always thought Edgar Allan Poe wrote the latter puzzle. And the writers were pretty clever using homonyms in the Triple Toss-Ups.

I solved the BR with Angela’s picks. I dunno what combo would’ve helped her here, but at least the $1M wasn’t even close to where she landed.

This sorta-Halloween Week was … OK. Maybe a touch of Disney will improve things, BR-wise. Anyway, happy Halloween, folks.

On the Singapore version of this episode, the closing was completely cut out, going straight from Pat revealing the million to the latter half of the credits. Probably because it aired well after Halloween over there, but still a jarring edit.
