FIRST TWO DAYS: Monday, Tuesday
S7, EPISODE #1253: FAMILY WEEK
Airdate: 12/27/89
We have $134K+ to give away tonight to these families:
Dave & Carol Abraham: A husband/wife team from Charlestown, PA. They run they're own agency and have 2 boys
Free Spin Location: $800
Carol names 5 of the 7 "Snow White" dwarves - SNEEZY, DOC, BASHFUL, HAPPY AND DOPEY. Yeah, I think I'm burnt out already.
DUD: T (Pasahovs)
LOSE A TURNS: 2 (others)
DQ: P repeat from Abrahams
Pat calls Charlie "Dopey" before the first prize plug.
ROUND 2 PRIZE: 25" color TV w/ 209 channels & compatible remote + Sharp VCR + Merillat's antique modular shelving system (marked MEDIA), $2,562
Thanksgiving is right around the corner (as of the date of the recap posting), so it's rather appropriate that Tami gets out some TURKEY STUFFING.
DUDS: L (Pasahovs), D (Milsapses), P (Pasahovs)
LOSE A TURN: Abrahams
Margie solves THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST.
DUD: N (Abrahms)
LOSE A TURN: Pasahovs
Thanks to spending a bit too much time hanging out with dwarves, Pat will take the next spin. Each consonant from here on out is a respectable $1,500.
Tami solves RED SUSPENDERS...only to be $100 short.
DUDS: T & L (Abrahams)
FINAL SCORES
WINNINGS SO FAR: $15,650
NO BANKRUPTS!
BONUS ROUND
THE REMAINING PRIZES
A pair of cars ($37K+)
A $40,000 Time Bonus Annuity
A $41K+ greenhouse w/ furniture + $5,000
LETTER PICKED (Pat gets the envelope): first E
RSTLNE (the contestant window appeared at that time) gives 3 to start:
BDGA are pretty good choices...
I wonder if the G was a precaution? Anyway, Dave & Carol will bring their new CARS (Volkswagens, Cabrio & Corrado 2-door; $37,655) to the BARNYARD (if they do have one). Dave's mom & cousin (Regina from Scottsdale) come to celebrate.
ABRAHAMS' FINAL TOTAL: $43,555 ($5,900 plus those cars; eligible for Friday Final)
Closing chat was skipped.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: I think I realized why I don't like recapping team episodes (too much interview talk). R1 ate too much of our time (even if we got a decent payout out of it), but at least all three teams fared well and we got an easy BR win on top of it. 7/10
