S14, EPISODE #2672: SPRING BREAK
Airdate: 3/18/97
Tuesday's trio:
Kristi Westerman: Phoenix. She trained directory assistance agents who once wanted a Cadillac painted like a cow (but she sold that one).
Crystal Wong Dawkins: New York. Married to Walter (he's here along with friends Fred and Deneen) and full-time student studying communications (she hopes to go to law school and become a lawyer).
Geoff Jones: Hamilton, ON. Electronic salesperson for a large electronics firm who taught the St. John's Drum and Bugle Corps from Brantford.
They're still getting nice compliments on the new puzzleboard.
Crystal solves SPRING BREAK INTO SONG.
PRIZE ADDED TO WHEEL: Klipsch audio and home theather speaker systems + Zenith 35" stereo color TV (marked ENTERTAINMENT), $3,399
First off, the TV showed footage of the Rosie O'Donnell moment. Secondly, that wedge is placed on the other $400 while the $10,000 is placed on $250 (reminiscent to seasons 20-30).
Kristi solves QUITE POSSIBLY THE WORLD'S PERFECT FOOD. She initially guesses Banana, but Pat asks her to be more specific, which then she provides the correct one of Chiquita (Banana).
JACKPOT ROUND
Crystal replies I'M HAVING A SENSE OF DEJA VU.
LEFT BEHIND IN POT: $9,000
Geoff pinpoints RALEIGH NORTH CAROLINA. That's it! He's your big winner!
FINAL SCORES
WINNINGS SO FAR: $21,250
BANKRUPT TRASH: $1,850
BONUS ROUND
LETTER PICKED: L
RSTLNE gives the last third to Geoff:
CGMA almost completes the story...
It is indeed a GADGET and he's won the $25,000! Mom Janet and Aunt Nancy join the celebration.
GEOFF'S FINAL TOTAL: $35,000 (all cash)
All of this week's contestants will receive a 5lb chocolate easter egg from Perugina as well as a stuffed bunny with his own carrot of candy.
Vanna's gripe about directory assistance agents is that they always say "Thank You For Calling". Also, the fact that they don't give her the recording verbally.
The unclaimed Surprise was to the Sonesta Beach Resort in Bermuda.
OVERALL THOUHGTS: Boy did Geoff make a surprise victory in the end! Thanks to that, it's a step above from last night and worth a 7/10.
