It's odd that Alsie wanted to "call it" instead of "solve the puzzle" or simply "solve", and yet he picks PGHO without hesitation in the bonus round.

Speaking of the bonus round, I wasn't able to get this one. I had CHECK, but likely as a habit of blocking out "negative connotations", I couldn't figure out VOIDED without the D's.

Thinking about that bonus puzzle, I read back then about a contestant who played Check Game on TPiR 25 years before this show and wrote a check for $7,000 (when the limit was $6,000). I don't know if the incident is confirmed, but Scorpz does confirm that Check Game was played that day.

R3: This round wasn’t any better.

Triple T-Us: Call me guilty for saying ARCTIC for the second one (my next guess was right, however).

R4: Alsie seems like the guy most likely to hit the big one…and of course he lands one space short of that. At least he won.

BR: This one, I RSTLNEd. Something like CDHO would be key to figuring this one out.

Hmm, no decorations for this season’s edition of Wheel Around the World? Interesting.

The second round of this week’s opener were rocky, but everyone earned decent scores. As for the ladies’ guesses in TTU2… those are oceans, not seas.

Speaking of that puzzle, I had all the Triple Toss-Ups with just the first letter (this trio has fast thumbs), but I could only get the second word of the Bonus Puzzle. I think the D’s and C’s would’ve given Alsie a shot.

My rating: 5
