After saying the S-word, she does get CARDIGAN...but not the top word of PUFFY CARDIGAN, so no $39,000. KRISTINE’S FINAL TOTAL: $23,050 ($15,550 and the Mexico trip) We end on how it’s done in Uruguay (La Ruleta de la Suerte). We’re disappointed our show doesn’t have a live band. Rafa, the host, always has to have tea with honey and a croissant every taping. Paat apparently has to have a big bowl of yak jerky. Roxanne is the hostess and she owns and directs a modeling studio. Full credit roll again.

I’ve heard of a FLUFFY cardigan but not a PUFFY cardigan. What was that?!

Some obscure puzzles tonight. PADDINGTON BEAR is a deeper cut than I’m used to.

Fifth round and some regular play. Always nice to see. Round 2, not quite as nice.
I thought FUZZY CARDIGAN with RSTLNE, but then I thought of PUFFY CARDIGAN as an alternative after the three-and-a-vowel.

^Paddington Bear has had a couple of recent movies and a Nick Jr series, so it's not like it's been out of pop culture for a long time. It also fit the around the world theme since he's from Peru.
Kristine definitely rebounded very nicely after her missolve in round 2.
Wow that was a super short puzzle in round 4.
Once again What Are You Wearing? claims a victim in the bonus round. I was thinking FUZZY Cardigan, never heard of a PUFFY one.

I’ve heard of a FLUFFY cardigan but not a PUFFY cardigan. What was that?! That was a computer-generated puzzle from their pool of ajectives and nouns combined with one of their guaranteed loss poison words.

For the first time in what seems like forever, I had to add in code for extra rounds! Pretty average episode otherwise, but I’m glad Kristine shook off her blanking in the crossword and won the game. BR: No way I was getting PUFFY. Forced loss for sure. 6/10

Kristine’s win reminds me of Barbara’s (from Tuesday’s episode), in that she dusted off an early error nicely.
I no-lettered R1, but I’ve never heard of the first two Toss-Ups (the second is used in gymnastics). But I solved the BR with RSTLNE after it was spoiled for me on social media. I didn’t know cardigans were puffy…

I've had MONGOLIAN BEEF before (but Pei Wei just calls it Mongolian Steak). It's too bad the Pei Wei near my location shut down a few years ago.
