From the Sony Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'
EPISODE #2638
Here are today's contestants!
Tina Condy is from Newcastle, PA. She's a fourth-year graduate student at Georgia Tech, and is a year shy of her PhD in biochemistry. She's hoping to get a job with a pharmaceutical company.
Chris Schultz is from Santa Barbara, CA. He's a high school cross country and track & field coach at San Marcos High School. Otherwise, he likes to play on his new computer, do all sorts of sports, and watch lots of movies.
Cheryl Bryant is from Nashville, TN. She's a secretary with a publishing company. She enjoys bowling, playing Wheel, and is just excited to be here.
If I had the opportunity to solve a puzzle like Cheryl did, I'D DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT.
Round 2 adds the $10,000 and a 7-day trip to the Shannon Court hotel in SAN FRANCISCO worth $2,650.
Pat notes about the amount of punctuation in the puzzle, and jokes about there also being an umlaut.
THE SKIPPER GILLIGAN & MR. & MR. HOWELL just gave Cheryl an amazing round of $11,200 cash and the SURPRISE: a Sony sound system with a 200 CD sound changer, a minidisc home deck, and a surround sound system worth $5,450!
Pat jokes around that those are all Sony executives
WE'RE HAVING A BABY GRAND PIANO play over how rough this round was. At least Cheryl walks away with a great $7,000.
We just have no time, so we're in Speed-Up mode. Vowels worth nothing, consonants worth... $5,000!
Tina: T ($5,000)
Chris: M ($5,000)
Cheryl: R ($5,000)
Tina: S ($10,000)
Chris: O (x1)
Cheryl: N ($10,000)
Tina: D ($15,000)
Well, at least it's a happy ending for someone else, as Tina solves TOM & DIANE SAWYER for $15,000!
A couple of trip/vehicle combos, an annuity, and the cash are left.

RSTLN E don't do much...
CDH I are really helpful.
...but still not enough. Cheryl's only guess is PUCCHINI. ZUCCHINI stays the undefeated evil BR word for the $25,000.
She's won more than that though; $25,200!
