From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
AFRICAN SAFARI
EPISODE #3016
Here are today's contestants!
Rey Junco is from State College, PA. He's a counselor for students with disabilities at the Office for Disability Services at Penn State. He's a doctoral student in the counselor ed department. Otherwise, he likes to dance, cook, and play racquetball.
Ray Chu is from Alameda, CA. He's a computer technician. He likes to bike, travel, and do a bit of gambling. He likes to travel wherever he can go.
Ann Marie Limon is from San Antonio, TX. She a senior at Southwest Texas State University, in San Marcos. She's a senior graduating in December with a broadcasting degree. She currently works at the campus radio station, and she dodged the question on what he plans to do. She wants to travel a bit also.
Pat plans to distinguish between Rey J. and Ray C. with a first initial. Since I always color-code contestants, I don't think another level of differentiation is necessary, and I really don't want to have to change my AHK script again. I realized it was just a quick text replace to properly implement it, so I did it.
Rey J. discovers ACTRESS FAITH FORD for $4,050. He can make it $7,050 if he can identify this FICTIONAL CHARACTER, which probably means this is just Star/Role split into two puzzles.
All Rey J. has is MARK. He can't find CORKY SHERWOOD, the character she played on Murphy Brown for many years. No matter, $4,050 is nice, and you know what's also nice?
The first prize! It's a TRAVEL gift card, specifically a $2,500 gift card to Travel Smith!
Ann Marie reads off WHEN THE PIE WAS OPENED THE BIRDS BEGAN TO SING, which is from "Sing a Song of Sixpence", an English nursery rhyme, for $800.
Along with the Jackpot, we've added a trip to a DUDE RANCH: It's a trip to Merv Griffin's Wickenburg Inn Dude Ranch & Tennis Club. This Arizona trip is worth $6,158!
Pat reminding Rey J. about the Jackpot isn't enough to stop him from solving GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN for $1,900.
I'm going into a DEEP SLEEP after this recap is done. Ann Marie has won $1,200 cash and more than twice that in a travel gift card.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
It looks like we barely had enough time to sneak in a fifth round. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $300 ($900) ┌

RSTLN E gives two...
CDP A does a bit of work...
Ann Marie wins this straight from the FACTORY: a GMC VAN! The GMC Safari passenger van has room for 8! It's worth $24,063!
Ann Marie's dad and sister, Alexia, come down to celebrate her $30,363 in cash and prizes won!
Pat Chat: To avoid accidentally writing 1998, Vanna's already predated 25 checks 1999. Pat, on the other hand, is just used to a stamp saying "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS".
