From the Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
SCANDANAVIA WEEK
EPISODE #3052
Here are today's contestants!
Doug McIntosh is from San Francisco, CA. He's an internet specialist in sales. In his free time, he likes to surf (waves, not the net). He also likes to mountain bike and hang out with his girlfriend, Jennifer.
Aprille Pascal is from Pearl, MS. She's engaged and will be married in May. She goes to Mississippi State University studying elementary education.
Gretchen Carpenter is from Los Angeles, CA. She's a lawyer. She grew up in Oakland and was born in Iowa. In her free time, she likes to work out or watch movies.
Gretchen solves FLORIST and won $3,800 with only four consonants on the board - that's pretty impressive. Her total can be $6,800 before the first prize is introduced if she can solve this Puzzler.
Aprille finds an ORCHID for $3,000!
Round 2 adds the $10,000 and a gift certificate to David Orgel on Rodeo Drive worth $2,500! It can be used to buy beautiful CRYSTAL from Sweden.
Aprille practically reads CHEESE LONDON SPRAT for $1,950. She'll more than double that if she can fill in the blank.
She mutters cheeses under her breath, but doesn't give an answer in time. She didn't know JACK.
Along with the Jackpot, and trip to the THEATRE in Houston! With a week state at the DoubleTree Hotel at Allen Center in the Theater District, it's a trip worth $3,750!
Gretchen can be TAKING THE OATH OF OFFICE SUPPLIES for $5,800!
I know it's not Shopper's Bazaar anymore, but I'm sure contestants like Aprille are fine being called PREFERRED CUSTOMERS.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
Time is running out. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $300 ┌.
Doug: C (DUD!)
Aprille: L (DUD!)
Gretchen: E (x1)
Doug: F (DUD!)
Aprille: M ($300)
Aprille can celebrate her win by shaking a TAMBOURINE! ($300 is converted to the house minimum of $500)
Aprille can win any of these prizes:
A trip to Solvang, CA, and a Saab 9-3 convertible worth over $42,000!
A new Volvo S70 worth over $37,000!
Another Saab worth over $30,000!
A Scandinavian tour of unannounced value in this episode!
...and Pat almost forgets about the $25,000 cash!
W H E E L
RSTLN E only gives the ending two...
MHC A, and that strikes out. Aprille guesses WISHES, and then mumbles the remaining seconds before yelling FIGHTS at the buzzer. None of those are close to what she needs to comfort her - PUPPIES. She misses out on the VOLVO, but all she won was $11,000 cash!
Pat Chat: Cheryl Jacobs was nice enough to bring in some chocolates, and she shared them with everybody. Vanna cut every chocolate in half. Vanna claims she did it to see what was in each chocolate, so she doesn't just bite one and return it or throw it away, but Pat thinks that's part of the fun. Pat smartly observes that Vanna missed a couple, and hands her a knife to cut them.
