Well, I'm disappointed BEYOND MEASURE on how he still missed this one (he said SECOND and EVEN for the top word), so no $40,000.

The hosts munch on hot dogs from Johnny Pastrami’s. Vanna has Pat try one of her hot dogs with ketchup, then Pat has Vanna eat one of his hot dogs with ketchup, mustard, and relish. While Vanna likes Pat’s hot dogs, both of them can’t believe he ate hers with ketchup (he hates that condiment).

Conrad was my favorite of the day. He's been around and even watched Wheel in Australia and New Zealand. Definitely loyal to the franchise (too bad we couldn't include the British version, though it would be tough to keep up with three versions at once, four if you count Pat and Vanna).

I had the second word to the bonus puzzle immediately, but I needed his picks for the first. Though it seemed like it could be enough, I guess picking L first was a foreshadowing.

Recaps will be on hiatus as of May 27, 2024 due to life changes.

My new job is frankly exhausting (I'm in fulfillment and have to stand for long periods of time), so I had to decongest myself last night. Thankfully, I'm off the rest of the week.

We almost had a clean-ish game. Round 2, however, was just ugly, even though Conrad got a Mystery win at the end of the round.

Speaking about Conrad, he's an interesting dude. I wasn't expecting a trip to Bali in the Prize Puzzle, but it fits his international personality.

BR: Got it off RSTLNE. I probably shouldn't be surprised he lost given that he tried to call L first.

It's Fabulous Food week, so how about a fabulous slogan from the Lousiana-based chain called Popeyes? This restaurant has mastered the art of making fried chicken taste so damn good (they put it in a secret marinade for about 24 hours). It's surprisingly cheap as well for its value if you don't decide to include a drink. Avoid ordering close to closing, they tend to be out of a lot of stuff by the time.

Another not bad main game. A good game by Conrad. That was a crazy round 2 by him by getting penalized twice while holding $10,000. Its nice to have a $10K win and its nice to be seeing $10K flips after all these bankrupt flips.

The men crushed their respective rounds, but this episode got a little messy in R2. I’m happy for Conrad scoring the first $10K Mystery wedge win of the season and Erica winning something in the end. I thought Conrad would solve the BR, but maybe he needed another letter on top.

I no-lettered R1. In fact, on an episode from January 2010 (which was themed “International Food”), TU2 and R1 were the exact same puzzles in the same rounds as tonight’s episode. What are the odds? Oh, and I’m a little bummed the last TTU wasn’t BARBECUE PIZZA.

Bali?! 😱 I figure Tickets to Paradise sponsored it like they did the Mystery Round. But wow at a non-North American/European PP trip.

Oh, and Pat finally did it. He ate ketchup on a hot dog. 😏
