In the final segment, Pat reminds us that over 10 years ago (until the end of the 2009-10 season), the minimum dollar amount on the Bonus Wheel was $25,000. For the 30th year (28th, actually), they made it $30,000. After that (barring the 31st year), they added $1,000 per year to bring it up to $40,000 today. In 60 years, it will be $100,000! Pat can't wait for that!

A good main game total from Brody today. Even though he missed in Round 1, he recovered later on.

I'm guessing Brody figured out the Speed-Up puzzle before picking the B's. I only figured it out after they were revealed.

I got the bonus puzzle just before Brody picked his vowel. Not the easiest one when all of A-E-I-O-U are up there. If he thought to call either an F or Y for the top row, which could've happened with the Wild Card, he might have had it.

This episode started off modestly, but Brody picked things up nicely thanks to the Prize Puzzle! It would’ve been better had Pat prompted him to use his WC that round. And even better had he gotten some more letters in his BR puzzle (which I solved with his picks).

Also, De’Andria is one of the nicest contestants I’ve ever watched; she was a real sport. If there was a second chance tournament, she should be a prime candidate! But her TU2 missolve and her U buy in R2 (which I no-lettered) caught me off-guard.

Oh, and I almost messed up the PP with …IN WARM BEACHES (which makes no sense).

My rating: 7

Also, the minimum by the season number did not start in S30, Pat. Get your facts straight.

This also implies that the minimum will keep rising. They’re lucky now with the record inflation, but it will cost them in the long run.

He probably just forgot. Pat's been inconsistent on it for years, and it's why I have a major problem with the Wild Card. Pat wanted the host doing the Final Spin gone because he felt he had too much influence on it, but he's just as influential when it comes to the Wild Card. 95% of its main game uses are only after his encouragements. Theoretically, Pat could intentionally not bring up an opportunity for a contestant that he can't stand and doesn't personally want to win. Not saying he would or should do that, but he could.
