I wish I WAS BLUFFING about this - she misses the bottom word with PLAYING and FLASHING late and loses the $40,000.

Once again, I missed a main game puzzle, as PACE never came to me in Round 2. Gameplay was a bit rough today.

I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. Not much to say here.

Oh, and "White's partner" in the post-game was hilarious.

Janaáh could've had another letter to fit into the puzzle for a bonus win. This bonus puzzle was used in Season 37 on December 12, 2019.

This was not the best XL episode, no thanks to those pesky penalty spaces. At least everyone earned decent totals (although the PP mattered for Janaáh to win), and Emily came on very strong towards the end.

I was stumped on TU1 and PACE in R2, but I no-lettered the last two Triple Toss-Ups. I solved the BR with RSTLNE, and perhaps some help on the bottom would’ve some good for our champ.

But “White’s partner” and the “twerking contest” were funny. 😂

My rating: 4

I had a feeling that the triple Bankrupt in R1 would set the stage for a bad evening, and I was correct.

If y'all were wondering what happened Tuesday, millions of Taylor Swift fans (myself included) rushed to Ticketmaster to get tickets for her Eras tour. It was a complete massacre, so much so that the site actually crashed and the West Coast sales were delayed by 5 hours. Throughout that mess, I somehow got 3 nosebleed tickets for a $390 purchase and the puzzle mentioned is where I'll be seeing her on August 3!
