The bonus round stung even more. I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE, and I thought she picked some good letters. Ouch.

EDIT: I saw Andy gave it a 1. I guess I get all the grand prize losses, and you get the "1/10" shows.

Benny seemed to fumble at the 5-yard line at every possible occurrence, especially in the PP. Rough luck that you really can’t blame on puzzle solving skills for the most part thanks to some contrived nonsense and a hard time with the wheel.

Guess we can add another entry to the worst bonus round chokes thread, that was pretty bad.

Honestly, I don't know what's on Benny's mind when he was facing R1 with 80% of the puzzle being filled up. Either he wants to get more money with the prize ($14K+?!) on the line or he didn't know the puzzle.

I'm glad that someone has added another entry to the Worst Bonus Round Chokes thread. Imagine the A was called instead (A L _ _ S T / E N _ _ G H) and still went unsolved, that would be on another level of the BR chokes.

This reminds me of older recaps and how far we've come since. Whenever a puzzle was posted in a simple text format, a slash would be used for a space. It just makes it easier to read. - Mechamind

So...I finally got to the hang of centering text in regards to reading recaps on mobile. It was a bit shaky at first, but I'll perfect the template later today.

However, this episode...just plain sucked.

R1: Yeah, I was also confused why Benny spun again with the AK trip in tow. This puzzle (while terribly written) had plenty of multiples for a possibility of a big round, but all we get is $1,200.

R3: Apparently, Benny thinks UNADAILABLE is a word...

R4: Somehow, we have time left over for this round (but not much). Karmini makes a guess that doesn't fit with what was up there, Benny fittingly goes home with the pity thousand, leaving Lindsey to go to the final segment.

BR: Definitely one of the worst non-solves in recent years.

I'm...actually not going to give this episode a 1, but rather a 2/10. It didn't make me angry enough to warrant the lowest rating. Had there been a Toss-Up triple stumper and/or the $100K showed up, then this would definitely deserve a 1.

Oh brother… I figured that was coming. Remember, folks watching at home, it’s hard being on stage! While I wished he bought vowels in the earlier rounds, I feel terrible for Benny. 😔

As for the puzzles, as soon as I realized what Round 1 was, I was like, “It’s one of those puzzles, eh?” And my puzzle pattern recognition helped me no-letter the last Triple Toss-Up.

My rating: 4
