Happy Valentine’s Day, Roger and Toni!

First off, how many of you no-lettered TU1?

Regarding the $8K+ value for the Mountain Lake Lodge trip that I put in one of the recaps of last month, I was referring to that episode where Josh BANKRUPTed a five-digit value, but then got 80% of their total back by the end of the round. I also found Jim's quip funny.

I was worried when Roger kept spinning in R2. I was afraid they were gonna flunk out with one letter remaining, but Toni thankfully had the lightbulb turn on to complete the board. There was a big relief in the studio when she called that B.

They had to reshoot the ending of R3. Roger & Toni were only credited with $10,950 so far and they forgot to add in the $4K they won in R2. In fact, you can see the $5K wedge in the last few seconds of that segment as well.

When the Speed-Up ended (which I solved before Toni did), I was reminded of how annoying team house minimums are. Heck, Pat forgot at first and said that they won $18,600 overall.

The ARP of the Mercedes was never shown in the studio (I also needed those O's to solve the BR). In fact, when Jim announced it, it was drowned out by all of the applause. And I don’t think their final total was shown either.

I loved Vanna's outfit for this episode BTW. She always looks amazing in pants.

It was the battle between the Bushongs and Petersons, and the Petersons recovered nicely after their big BANKRUPT in Round 1. I also feared the Bushongs would flub the Crossword and Prize Puzzles (the latter with GREAT instead of DREAM), but I’m glad Toni instantly solved the Bonus Puzzle!

As for the theme itself, it’s lovely to see the $2,000 minimum return. Vanna blended in well with the center screen, and Pat’s message to his wife was sweet. 🥰

Of course, I no-lettered the first Toss-Up. And the second Triple Toss-Up. And the Speed-Up puzzle.
