Heidi thinks of WARM (something) BRUNCHES, but they do not solve WARM GOOEY BROWNIES...

...and it was cold of Pat to have to show them the $40,000. Jeff & Heidi still did a great job, finishing with $32,400 in cash and prizes.

In the final segment, Pat thinks Vanna strikes him as someone who would appreciate a warm gooey brownie. She'd like ice cream on top! Pat likes his brownies iced on the top. Of course, he likes icing on his fingers. Anything with icing. Pat and Vanna are now getting hungry.

I wouldn’t directly blame Harry for the lack of same-sex couples. Pat has an insane amount of input and based on his personal and political beliefs, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he was the one holding this up. Somehow, Bellamie managed to slip this one. Harry was most likely sticking by his talent and didn’t want to anger him and cause any sort of rift between them.

Harry was also responsible for having people like RuPaul present categories on Jeopardy!, which probably didn’t bother Alex too much, who was a noted independent but frankly leaned closer to democrat than not.

Regardless of who was involved, props to the show for finally pulling this off, it was long overdue. Wish they won more though!

It was a great start to the show and then it mostly cooled down. I was wondering where all the Song Lyrics had gone and I'm glad that they came back with a modern puzzle, even if it's been done before. Just wish Red had gone a little more aggressive during R2. I know spinning a Bankrupt is scary, but they needed to bridge the gap and those Ms alone would've helped make a dent in that.

Not much else to say beyond that, but it was so nice to finally get a same-sex couple on the show and I hope this leads the way for more inclusivity on the show. If this show should be remembered for anything, it's that they finally took the plunge.

Never realized how much this applied to more than a simple want.

Kudos to the show having a same sex couple on for the first time. Certainly took long enough. All three couples were fun tonight.

And they also used song lyrics from a song only a little more than 10 years old!

I got the bonus puzzle with their letters, but GOOEY was pretty tough to think of. Maybe they would've had it with the O for their vowel.

As stated, this show finally made history with Charlie and Kelly. I was hoping they would go for more in Round 2, but Charlie’s performance of his solve and moniker for this theme (“Love Week”) were fun to watch. And I’m happy the Weavers got on the board with a quick solve of the second Triple Toss-Up (which I no-lettered).

The Szekelys’ big first round pretty much did it for them; it would’ve been even grander if Pat prompted them to use their Wild Card. It was fantastic to see them use the vowel strategy in the Final Spin. I’m surprised they didn’t solve the Bonus Round (which I nailed with RSTLNE) given Heidi enjoys baking.

My rating: 7

Finally back from Vegas! If you're wondering about the new posts in this section, it's because I'm currently catching up on this show.

I left the studio after the third show, but I would've absolutely flipped out had I stayed over for the latter tapings (regarding the red team). It would've been the first time I witnessed a same sex couple in this show. Kudos to the show runners for doing that! A shame Charlie & Kelly didn't win more, but I wished they gone for way more in R2.

Heidi & Jeff were good players this night, but I really thought those letters in the BR would've been enough for the Szekeleys (which I also RSTLNEd).

The unclaimed NY trip was to the Westgate New York Grand Central (includes tickets to Chicago the Musical).

(If you're wondering about the Mario Kart tourney I attended, I made it to the finals only to get dead last in said round.)
