I’m at the point where if the BR choices are WAYD?/Phrase/Thing(s), I’m actively rooting for the third choice given the puzzles we’ve seen across the first two categories this season and the boundaries crossed within those.

Another RSTLNE solve for me, but when she made her first guess, I thought she got it only to go, "What?" After the puzzle was revealed, I saw I was right all along but was left asking myself what her first guess was. I rewatched it and realized in dismay how close she was to winning the hundred grand. That guess couldn't have been any closer. Still, for third place to finish with $10,000 made for the highlight of the night.

Oh so close. At least it wasn't even worse though, since she would've had the million dollar envelope had she solved the puzzle in round 3.

Well, there was a reason why I was a bit worrisome covering my end of the week. If Alexa just called the obvious letters, confetti would've fallen down. Instead, it led to one of the most painful misses I've seen in recent years.

Also, you're basically in the heat of the moment while on this show, so it's easy to forget letters that are already in the puzzle.

I was rooting for Chandra in the Final Spin. With a puzzle like that, it's very easy to accumulate quite a bit of money even with a low FS value (and she had enough to steal the game, but it didn't come to her at the right time). Hope everyone enjoys their winnings, though.

Things were decent up until the painful Bonus Round loss. I thought I heard Alexa say WINGING as well, but if only she picked the obvious G… 😬

Putting that (and the pesky BANKRUPT in Round 2) aside, everyone did well. It was heartwarming seeing Alexa’s disbelief that she was going to Europe. I was also hoping Chandra would complete her comeback in the Final Spin, but $10,000 is nothing to sneeze at for third place.

Was the Mystery Round puzzle a replacement? At least they didn’t use What Are You Doing? in the Triple Toss-Up. (I also would’ve guessed NOTES on the last puzzle in that round.) By the way, I no-lettered the second Toss-Up.

This is only the second time I've ever seen Pat explicitly call someone out for making guesses that were using already used letters ("The N's were gone"). The first time was the lady circa 2015 who kept guessing "APPLE..." for APPLY FOR A JOB. Wish he'd do this more often; would probably help the win rate a bit to raise awareness of an all-too-common faux pas.
