He won $75,800 (and Pat wrestled with him after he won the BR; this moment went viral) and his mother claims his first words were “buy a vowel”. Also, he gives a shout-out to her grandma who turned 98.
Ricky Gilbert (rickyg ; last seen 12/20/22): New York. His 3-year-old daughter always asks every night before she goes to bed if she could watch the show with him. He won $89,120 in his first showing and his friends and family were made aware he was gonna be on the show and he told them a little lie on how he did before his first appearance (and everybody was shocked on his total clean sweep).
Julia Fry (last seen 4/21/21): She's now in San Francisco and won $24,960 on her first show...but lost $100,000 in the bonus round. She's now a law school student who does a true crime podcast.

It was so nice to see Julia, Fred, and Ricky each solve at least one puzzle this time around. No sweeps, no shutouts – although another sweep would’ve been interesting to watch.) Ricky made it exciting towards the end!

A bummer the last word of the Bonus Round eluded Fred; I forgot how strong his spin is.

I no-lettered Round 1, but I would’ve said PICKLEBALL on the first two Triple Toss-Ups.

Would've been funny if one of them swept the game today, but they did well anyway. Not a runaway for Ricky with the Million-Dollar Wedge this time, but he came close in the end.

There was a bonus puzzle I couldn't get. I had everything but the last word with RSTLNE, and CDMA probably would've given it to me.
