Hello everyone, it's your official recapper back from my Atlanta vacation. Now, Mark (WheelFan17) was supposed to be recapping of all last week's shows but he was busy w/ his Christmas Day plans. Thus, I will be helping him out by using information from my friends over on the Sony Boards as well as footage of the shows from rashad1428's YouTube channel.
That being said, here we go...
This marks the start of another edition of "Happy Holidays" and doing the guest-announcing this week is Jim Thornton. In the animated intro, Pat and Vanna are ice skating around a rink and forming the show's logo.
Now, let's see if Pat and Vanna can make the contestants' holiday wishes come true w/ loads of cash as well as other goodies.
$1,000 Tossup - PEOPLE
C _ _ _ _ _ _ A S
C _ _ O _ _ _ _
Holli solves CHRISTMAS CAROLERS fairly quickly. The first contestants of the week are...
Holli Rowan: project manager for an electrical supply company from Las Vegas
Mark Grothe: from Paducah, KY (originally from Cocoa Beach, FL)
Elizabeth Morgan: neuropsychologist from Orlando, FL
$2,000 Tossup - AROUND THE HOUSE
_ _ U _ F Y
_ _ L _ O W S
Mark solves FLUFFY PILLOWS to begin the night's spinning.
PRIZE ON THE WHEEL: a Sony home theater w/ a 2-year Netflix subscription worth $5,030
Jackpot Round - TITLE
The maingame categories this week are revealed by a snowman and a Christmas Carol is played in place of the usual category reveal chimes.
Mark gets off to a quick $5,000 star w/ two N's, but he buys the only bad vowel of this puzzle (A). Later on, Holli picks up the Bed, Bath & Beyond gift tag w/ four R's. Soon enough, we have the following...
R _ D _ _ _ H / T H E
R E D - N _ S E D
R E _ N D E E R
She solves RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER for $4,000 cash and gift tag.
SOLE DUD: A (Mark)

(The producers give a holiday greeting before the second commercial break.)

Mystery Round - THING (PRIZE PUZZLE)
Holli immediately lands on the Mystery Wedge next to the MDW. After calling two T's, she takes a $2,000 gamble...and it's a good call! A little later, she lights up the A's on FP as well as two R's for the Wild Card. But after some work, she then misses w/ an N to leave at least $10,250 sitting in her bank. Mark picks things up from there...
