Billie was the worst contestant this season, I think. And that is a high (low) bar to clear given how the average contestant has performed in 2024, but she was absolutely clueless up there, capped off by a truly stunning throwaway of the game in R4 - when the blue contestant even sighed out loud!

Only caught the beginning of this at work before I left, but I liked the male contestant (Max?). He had excellent energy.

I would've used the Wild Card for the last letter of the puzzle in round 2 if I was Billie. I guess a contestant can't use the Wild Card in the Speed Up round for an extra consonant? Patricia would've lost by $250 if she had the S on at the end.
Tonight's bonus round made me think of the infamous one a couple years ago where the contestant was not given the solve and ended up losing an Audi, except of course this time it went the opposite way. Was there enough of a difference from this time to then to give it to him, or did they just not want to relive that again?

that was some last minute solve. it might have been partially luck but it was an exciting thing to watch.

If there's one thing I have to say about what happened on this episode, let's just summarize it this way. Max's Bonus Round solve certainly left me "at my wit's end!"

Ultimately, we think there's much less of a pause here than on that solve, and they would have likely given it anyway here, but I'm sure it was in the back of their mind minds.

This episode’s gameplay was shaky until Max’s huge Final Spin victory. Good thing he figured out the third word of the Bonus Round in the nick of time.
I thought the second Toss-Up referred to “His Eye is on the Sparrow,” not the Pharrell song. And so much for my guess of WIND-POWERED.
And did they edit out Billie’s quip about the Jonas Brothers?

Ultimately, we think there's much less of a pause here than on that solve, and they would have likely given it anyway here, but I'm sure it was in the back of their mind minds. The pause during the Audi incident was about 4.7 seconds. Max's pause was about 0.7 seconds, and he got the whole answer in before the buzzer even though Pat implied he finished after it. Notably, on February 10, 2023, a win that is not posted on any of the socials and I had to go back to my archived copy of the full episode to check, the winner paused for about 0.6 seconds between the last two words of the puzzle and Pat did not rule it a win until Vanna nodded and the answer flashed on the board about 1.5 seconds after she said it the first time. It was as if they just decided reluctantly to give it to her so they wouldn't have another repeat of the Audi incident.
