Final Bonus Round of the Season
As some of you may recall, Dave Ramos (Season 24) and Katie Carpenter (Season 25) were able to salvage their respective season finale week. Can we same the same thing for Tim? He lands on the R in AMERICA'S.

Starting setup...
_ ' _ / _ _ _ E _ _ L
M (waste), C, H and I (waste) light up...
I ' M / H _ _ E _ _ L
I'M HOPEFUL that we would end this season with a win...
...NO -- WE'VE BEEN SHUTOUT IN BONUSLAND FOR THE FIFTH AND FINAL TIME THIS SEASON (he said I'M HELPFUL and I'M HOMEFUL, the latter of which was one letter off). What did he just lose?...
...another $30,000. That sends him home with $27,900 cash and trip.
Well, that wraps up what has been a roller-coaster Season 28. Let's start with the lowlights...
-Charlie O'Donnell's passing (his final aired episode was October 29, 2010)
-The five BR SHUTOUT weeks (two of which had TWO people losing the $100,000).
-Speaking of the $100,000, we set a NEW DUBIOUS RECORD for most $100,000 losses in a single season at 11 (two of which were a TOTAL TRAINWRECK).
-Three people in the BR said the correct answer one second too late (FLASH OF GENIUS, KEEPING WATCH, and ACOUSTIC GUITAR, the last of which was used during a Million Dollar Bonus Round).
-There were no Million Dollar wins for the second straight season (though a couple of players were one wedge away from hitting the $1M envelope).
As for the highlights...
-The animated intros featuring the Pat and Vanna miis were used in almost all the Culver City theme weeks.
-The maingame category reveals corresponding to most of the theme weeks
-The BR minimum was raised to $30,000 while players who won a car also pocketed another $5,000 to help pay off taxes.
-The show had a record six full weeks of shows from Las Vegas at both the Venetian and the Palazzo and three from New Orleans. It was wonderful for them to return to The Big Easy for the first time since August 2005 when Hurricane Katrina struck.
-The Maxwell House promo returned on the week of April 18 this year, and donated $2,500 for each BR win to Rebuilding Together. So far, $37,500 is in the RT bank.
-Two new categories made their debut -- SAME LETTER and WHAT'S THAT SONG (the latter was used rarely, however).
-The eight Jackpot wins.
-Katie Cantrell doing her job as "Vanna for a Day".
-We had some fantastic Bonus Round wins. Three people won the $100,000 (Uwimana Waller, Hillary Light and Paul Larsen) while another one became the latest owner of the Winnebago (Sandy Schenk).
-One personally completed a TOTAL CLEAN SWEEP in her episode. That was Lauren Snyder (April 5, 2011) of "Going Green Week".
-We produced a PERFECT BONUS ROUND WEEK not once, not twice but THREE TIMES!!! The weeks were "Leave Winter Behind", "Road Trip" and "Fabulous Food from New Orleans" (that had Paul's $100,000 win).
-Finally, the biggest highlight all season long was Caitlin Burke solving the puzzle I'VE GOT A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS with just one letter on the November 5, 2010 episode (that also has the Charlie O D'onnell tribute)! There were a ton of videos on YouTube showing that moment.
With all of that being said, I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this season's recaps. A new season will return on September 12. See you soon!
