I severely hope that this is a joke, but it is getting serious. Whether people liked the candor or tone of that site or not, it was is the only place to truly talk about The Price is Right. If this is true, I feel it will be a major hole for fans of the show.  Here's hoping for the best. |

If Fremantle slapped Golden-Road with a C&D, I wouldn't be surprised. "Alienating the real fans by smashing Golden-Road to pieces" would be yet another really stupid decision by a company whose stupid decisions massively outweigh their good ones (and yes, I count Pearson and All-American before them; same company).
This has the potential to be the dumbest thing ever done regarding Price since Barker became Executive Producer.

If this was a C&D, I'm sure we'd know about it by now...a random posting on priceisright.com is hardly a credible source. It's likely some technical glitch that's taking some time to be fixed.
Patience is key. Remember, Marc and John have lives.
In the meantime, if you want to discuss The Price is Right, you may do so right here on the forums for the time being.

Yes, where did that person get evidence? He probably just assumed (or judging by the nature of his post, hoped) it was a C&D because it's been down for so long. Why would a FAN FORUM get shut down? There's plenty of them on the internet.
It could be just site problems relating to the Season 40 makeover...or a hacker. Regardless, I'm sure everything will be OK.

Remember, Marc and John have lives. I'm trying to keep that in mind....especially since Marc has married life to deal with now. This is still weird however. There have been outages before (I remember one that lasted an entire day), but never something to this extent. Also, it is usually remedied at this point (again, Marc's new life may have something to do with the speed). I know that Marc, John, and Seth are probably working the hardest they can to get it back up. Perhaps the 404 means they're taking a 1 Step Back, 2 Steps Forward approach to getting the site up. Not too much to get worked up over, as long as I can still watch the show is what matters. |

According to Matt Ottinger, "there appears to be a server issue, Marc is the only one who can deal with server issues, and Marc is currently unavailable and may be so for a few days". Looking back, I was a bit hasty to start blaming (although, again, I never said that forum post was true)...and, to be honest, I forgot about Marc's recent wedding. (Speaking of which, best wishes to him and his wife.) Mods, may I suggest this thread be deleted once G-R gets back up? |
