Susie is back to face two new opponents and I'm back because... I'm recapping this episode.

Susie Getts: Our returning champion who won $43,550 cash and annuity on yesterday's show!
Elizabeth Jessin: Like Susie, Elizabeth is a student. She goes to the University of Oklahoma where she's a Senior, what she's studying is not mentioned.
John Davidson: He's both a doctor and a musician.

Top dollar value on the wheel this round is $500 more than the daytime show's top dollar and there's the Bankrupt that's the same on every show. The category for the first round is People which doesn't always mean proper names.



Susie is the first one to spin and she hits the $1,000 on her first try! And then she calls $3,000 worth of Ts! Soon after that...



She makes an early perfect round by solving PITTSBURGH PIRATES for $4,700!

While $4,700 is a lot for the first round, it's only going to get better with a $2,500 wedge on the wheel and joining it is a trip to the Bahamas, a $3,771 value (marked TRIP on wheel)! And in order for there to be some spinning, we'll need a puzzling puzzle, so there's a Thing.



Elizabeth starts with some spinning before calling a dud M. After that, John takes the opportunity to his advantage...



And solves EFFERVESCENT SPRING WATER for $2,300.

John is the first one to spin this round and he's the first one to dud this round as well, with an N. After some work by Susie, she calls a bad B on $700. Elizabeth then has this round all to herself...



And after some spinning, she decides to solve, CULTURED PEARLS OF WISDOM for $3,150!

Susie gets to start, but doesn't keep her turn for long, she calls a bad S. Two spins later, Elizabeth calls another dud, a C. John now gets to spin, but hits the first Bankrupt tonight. After Susie puts up a few more letters, she calls another dud, an N on $700. Back to Elizabeth who lands on the Gold! She gets to pick it up, but she can't keep her turn since her H was another dud. Over to John...

Patience pays off sometimes and on Wheel of Fortune, this is no exception, since there's a $5,000 wedge on the wheel and there is also a $1,500 wedge on the wheel! Now, the next puzzle is Things.



Elizabeth is the first one to spin and she instantly calls a $1,500 S! After that, she lights up a T before Speedup begins.



Pat gives the wheel a final spin and he does an okay job, with $550.



Play goes all around, back and forth between the layers, duds and non-duds alike, but we have this soon enough...



Ultimately, John takes Susie's title away from her, with a successful solve: BUCKWHEAT PANCAKES for $2,750 and the win!

Well, Susie took the $32,000 annuity yesterday, but there are four great prizes still remaining today! And they are: the convertible worth over $51,000, even though I'm not sure if he wants it, the $40,000 gem package, the $52,000 sportboat, and a hold card cash package, $25,000! John has four cards to choose from and the H is what he wants. The category for tonight's BR puzzle is yet another Thing.



RSTLNE, can we get a ton?



Not quite a ton, but 30% of the way there. He chooses CDP and A to help him... and it helps considerably.



60% of the puzzle complete, 40% unfilled, can he solve it?



No he cannot... and he loses out on the $25,000 cash because he couldn't. However, he will return on the next episode with $7,900, all cash and I will probably recap it tomorrow.
