Alright, here's an April Fool's Day 1987 Daytime WoF recap!
-----------------------------------------
Look at this studio, that NBC spoiled, filled with lots of cash and prizes that CBS can't afford! Including... a $9,000 cash Jackpot! Drive out of the studio with this new 3-door hatchback! Make your ears scream for joy with these pearl and diamond earclips, valued at $3,200! And a fantastic fully equipped camping trailer! More than double what CBS has, over $88,000 just waiting to be won... on Daytime Wheel of Actual Fortune! And these contestants are looking to have that $88,000.
Steven Schwartz: Works for a major industrial facility.
Gail Farrier: Works for a decorating company.
Missy Colvert: One-day champion who has won $4,450 in prizes!
So, who will come out on top? The decorator, the champion, or... the other guy? Let's find out!
Round 1 is here and the Round 1 wheel is worth less than Nighttime's of course, so say goodbye to the $1,000 and $900 wedges, but don't say goodbye to $750, since it's the top dollar in this round. And Bankrupt is here as well, but just one for now. Now, here's the Round 1 puzzle, it's a Phrase.
Steven is the first one to spin and he immediately duds on the purple $200 with an S. Over to Gail, who lands on the same thing and calls a bad T. Missy then spins, lands on the pink $250, and calls another dud, an R. Back to Steven, who Bankrupts right after he got his turn back. And now Gail spins and calls the first correct letter tonight, a $750 N! But she spins again and calls a bad D on $350.
ROUND OF DUDS ALERT!
Again, we go to Missy who lands on $750 and lights up a G! After buying an I, Missy calls a dud P on $350. Going back to Steven, who misses with a Y... on $750! Over to Gail...
...who controls the rest of the round and secures an early lead with MAKING A COMEBACK! She now has $2,500 to spend at the Country Kitchen.

$1,000 is on the wheel for this round, but you're crazy if you think $2,500 will be on Daytime. Here's the next puzzle, a Person.
Gail lights up the T before Bankrupting to give up the money she got from that. Right after that, Missy hits Bankrupt as well. Over to Steven, who starts to do some work before Pat goes to commercial. They'll be turning their backs and you can read the stats at this point.
There's been spinning, solving, everyone's had a turn, take a look at the details!

Over to Missy, who puts up the L and then LATs. Back to Steven, who puts up the G and then hits Lose a Turn. Play goes to Gail...
...who lights up the M and then solves GLORIA STEINEM for $400 to spend in the Collector's Corner, ceramic dalmatian not included.

Average scoring game so far, but it may become a big scoring game with the $2,000 wedge as well as the $1,500 wedge! There's also a $9,000 Jackpot on the wheel, all you have to do is pick that up and then solve the puzzle without hitting Bankrupt to win it! Now, the Round 3 puzzle is People, which does NOT always mean proper names.
Missy starts and is able to put up a few letters before the bells ring. Pat gives the wheel a final spin and it lands on... $500. Very close to $2,000, but not enough! After a few more letters come up...
...Steven says SONS AND DAUGHTERS for his first, and only $1,500 to spend in the TV room!
Purchases:
Color TV - $1,350
$150 on a Gift Certificate
LATE PERFECTION!
Steven: $1,500
Gail: $2,900
Missy: Unlucky (2-day winnings: $4,450)
Bankrupts: 0
Lose a Turns: 0
Duds: 0
Missolves: 0
Gail has won the game and now she will play the Bonus Round for one of the great prizes described in the opening! And what Gail wants to win, is none other than the camping trailer. To win it, she must solve a Phrase.
She must now pick five consonants and one vowel and her choices are STRLNE, the most (boring) usual letter choices on the show and...
...it will not help that much. Will she be able to win that trailer?
No she will not... and with that, she doesn't win the trailer, but she wins $2,900 in prizes and she will appear on the next episode
