Nighttime Wheel Recap: 12/11/2007

Finally, a theme week that works! Well, at least I think it does. Let's get going.

Patti Brasinski: Personnel specialist and she says that she does not want to win a car in the Bonus Round, just like me! She won two contests in ten minutes and won two cars, so she doesn't need a third one.
Bill O'Neal: A senior, studying nursing and an EMT.
Jerrie Reed: She works for the postal service and has an identical twin sister.

A $2,500 wedge in light blue glitter is on the wheel, as well as a $10,000 golden 1/3! This first round is started with a Things puzzle, which is also a Trip Puzzle!



Bill won the second toss-up so he'll begin Round 1, but with a dud R on the blue $500. Jerrie spins the wheel and calls a T and then the S, giving her the right to pick up the Choose Your Own Vacation prize! She buys the Es and then hits the purple $600, just missing $2,500, for an N. She makes another purchase, an I, and then calls the L for $500 more. Then come the As and a dud P on $400... play goes to Patti, but she hits Bankrupt on her first spin. Bill calls the Cs...



Bill will find some ACTIVE VOLCANOES in Hawaii, thanks to his $1,200 solve. That Hawaiian vacation is valued at $7,634!

Jerrie starts the round by hitting both $900 wedges for a T and two Ss. She buys the Es next and then calls three Rs for an additional $2,400. She makes another purchase, but it's a bad one, since there are no Is. Patti spins and buys before hitting the Gift Tag and grabbing it off the wheel with two Ns. She spins again for the Ls...

A lot to look forward to in this round, starting with the mystery wedges, one being $10,000 and the other a Bankrupt. Next, the top dollar remains at $3,500 and lastly, the Big Money Wedge is on! Now we're getting into some wordplay, with Same Name.



Patti will start Round 3 by putting up two Ts. Her next call is an H, but it's a dud. Bill spins and hits the red $900, but he can't find an N. Jerrie starts with two Rs for $600 and then three Ss for $1,350 more. She buys the Es next and then Bankrupt takes away her earnings. Patti spins and collects the Free Spin with a D along with $300. She buys an O that isn't in the puzzle and she's going to use the Free Spin. She'll spin the wheel and hit the Big Money Wedge... which holds $25,000 at this point! She wants an L... but there are NO Ls. Bill has control of the wheel, but for a very short time, thanks to Bankrupt. Jerrie spins for a C and an M before buying three As...



For a weak $450, Jerrie is able to solve DRASTIC & TAPE MEASURES and her $450 is bumped to a "huge" $1,000.

Glitter, silver, an hiny all describe the $5,000 wedge now on the wheel! And on the puzzleboard is a Place.



Patti solved that last toss-up, so she'll get to play this rond first. She starts with a $550 T and then slides past Bankrupt onto $900 for an S. She buys the three Es and then spins again, caling a bad N on the purple $350. Bill repeats Patti's first spin of the round and that's good for two Rs. Speedup emerges while the Rs are being put up.
