Nighttime Wheel Recap: 10/29/2004

Everyone got tricked by that toss-up, so we'll have to go in order, classic style.

Thanks to that second toss-up, Doug will begin. He calls every letter in the third word, T, H, and then E, for a $1,050 start. He hits that red $800 and he'll get an N out of that. He buys another vowel, a pair of Os and then Bankrupt tricks him into giving up $1,600. Tionna gives the wheel a spin and calls the S along with a C on her next spin. She buys the U and finishes off the last word with an M. After that, she makes two more purchases, the I and the A, even though she almost said I again. That completes the second word and she's spinning. She calls an L, followed by an R...

No need for commercials, it's the Jackpot Round! The Jackpot wedge is on the wheel and it increases with every cash amount landed on, hit the top dollar of $3,500 and that Jackot will be pretty huge. The prize is now on the wheel and the Jackpot Round puzzle is Before & After.



Tionna will start and her first spin clings on the purple $600 where she'll uncover a lot of Ts, giving her $2,400. She spins again for the Hs and shops for the Es, filling in the first word. Her next spin glides away from $3,500 and into $600, but there are no Ss. Terry lands on the orange $900 and her R call is a trick, it's a dud. Doug grabs a piece of cardboard off the wheel with an L, the Gift Tag and he spins again. It's a close call, but he hits the Jackpot and calls a G! That Jackpot is at $7,650, but it's too early for him so he'll spin again. He gets some money with a W and completes the second word with a purchase of three Is. He spins the wheel and hits both pink $300s for an N and a Z. One more spin from him and it's a great spin, the Jackpot! He calls the final consonant, D...

It's the Mystery Round, what would you do if you landed on the mystery wedge? One of them can trick you with a Bankrupt and the other is a Hyundai Accent worth $12,204! One player could be driving away, but in order to do that, they have to solve a puzzle. This puzzle is trivial, the way I like it, it's Who Is It?.



A lot of letters up there, a lot of treats can be won and Terry will start the round. Her first spin is that Germany trip and she'll pick it up with three Ss! She spins again and calls four Ts, giving her $1,200 more. She takes a little out of it to buy the Es and then she spins again. The peg inches its way onto the mystery wedge covering the tan $500 and she selects the three Hs, she isn't going to risk a flip. She'll get three more Rs on the red $800 before she starts buying, she buys four Os and then it's back to the wheel. She hits the yellow $300 and she picks the L. More vowels are bought: A, I, and U! She spins the wheel twice more for a C and an F. The wheel is spun once more and it escapes Bankrupt into the orange $300, but her D call is a DUD. Doug lands on the Sherri's Berries Gift Tag and he grabs it with the Ns...



Doug solves AUTHOR OF SPOOKY TALES THE SHINING CARRIE & IT for that Gift Tag. He'll earn an additional $3,000 if he knows who has written those novels.



Doug believes that Stephen King is the author of the novels and he's correct, $3,000 more for him!

Wow... one single letter more. The G was a trick, but the A was a small treat. Doesn't look good and the odds are bad, yet it's not impossible to solve. Doug has ten seconds to try it.



What a devilish puzzle. That should've been On the Menu, Doug couldn't fathom a guess and because of it, he missed out on...
