There are some episodes and clips from 1993 all the way to 2009 that can be seen over at YouTube. There are also some black & white bonus round clips from 1992 (the year Koło Fortuny premiered) that can be seen over there as well, but what about some color clips of main gameplay from that year? I've been wanting to see some color clips of Polish Wheel from 1992 or early 1993. My wait to see even a color clip from then is now over.

What I like about this version is how the puzzle border flashes as the wheel spins.

Yeah, the way their chase-light system works was one thing I forgot to mention. After first seeing a Polish Wheel episode from 1994 back in September of 2008, I wondered how they did it.

Bumping this one back up because an episode from March 17, 1998 was just uploaded. By the way, yes, I've already been trying to get the layout used in the intro.
From watching the episode and using Excel to keep score, I've learned a few things. It had a couple similarities to Brazil's version. One, vowels were treated the same way as consonants. Two, just like on Australia's version, the value spun was not multiplied. I know that the early days of Brazil's Roda a Roda had this rule too. Roletrando may have worked the same way.
Another thing I noticed was that every time a puzzle was solved, a player kept his/her score the same while his/her opponents' scores were halved (rounded up). Like Croatia's and Greece's versions did for at least some time, no scores were banked or locked away. Thus, when Bankrut was spun, you lose your score for the entire game and would have to rebuild it up again. Also, from what I'm seeing, the player in second place started every round.

The later version of the Bonus Round was impossible. Three-and-a-vowel and only one guess?! They should have stuck with the free 3+1 and choose 3+1 they had before that, even if it meant harder puzzles and still reducing the time limit to 10 seconds.
I still like the computerized sound effects they used in the 1990s. There's also something about the Bonus Round win signal they used.

Here's an episode from March 17, 2009. It shows how their Mystery Round worked hence the info I put up over at Wikipedia.
When a player landed on one of the wedges, (s)he had a choice of choosing a letter for zł500 or flipping over the wedge. If it was a Bankrupt, regular rules to Bankrupt applied. If it was the zł10,000, the player had to choose a correct letter in order to receive the cash prize. If (s)he did, (s)he received zł10,000 regardless of how many times the letter appeared in the puzzle, but the money could still be used to purchase vowels. Both mystery wedges, including the unflipped one, were removed from the wheel.

Did anyone see any interest in the 2009 episode? Hmm. Well how about a special episode from Christmastime 1992 with Polish celebrities? For this episode, the round 4 layout is used throughout the game. www.deviantart.com/art/Kolo-Fortuny-1993-Round-4-Revised-380727181 Apparently, however, the first round seemed rather disorganized as you will tell as there were supposed to be no penalty spaces on the Wheel. By round 2, this was fixed. Between the blue zł3,750,000 and the purple zł2,500,000 space is a spot marked Niespodzianka, which means Surprise. In place of the Lose A Turn space is a spot marked Zestaw which means set, kit, or package. In any case, it's a set of prizes. On top of the Bankrupt is a blue zł17,500,000 space.

^ Plays like a celebrity edition, alright. You don't need to speak their language to understand getting buzzed out.
And note that the free letters were C-F-K-S-T-O, while his choices were Z-C-D-A. It seems like repeat picks were considered to have been wasted.

I didn't need to know Polish to read that article and know that Stanisław Mikulski, the gentleman who hosted Polish Wheel from 1995 to 1998, passed on earlier today, and on Thanksgiving day too. As someone who is partly Polish, I wish that he may rest in peace.

Well, speaking of main-game hysteria after Matt's amazing run tonight, here's the main-game segment of a 1992 episode of Polish Wheel. With the exception of the Bonus Round (which may or may not be uploaded), the episode is intact. Apparently you're not penalized any of your winnings if you don't solve a puzzle.

Some footage from the first days of taping, and the interview with our host and hostess. I don't want to spoiler the third guest

^ I was able to, SmashWhammy, and from the looks of it, the layouts look easy enough for me to recreate. The font is Times New Roman Bold and there appear to be no shadow effects on the values, just shiny outlines.

Well, it looks like the layout using the Times New Roman Bold font was used for just the pilot if not the first few episodes at the most (although at least one of the 250zł wedges with that font along with the Stop wedge carried over), but the scoreboards have improved. The font appears to be Arial Bold if not Helvetica Bold. As for the intro layout, I find a few values there to be interesting, wouldn't you agree?
As for the way the set looks, it looks much more spacious and less generic than Germany's and Slovakia's recent sets. In fact, Poland's new set reminds me of the ones that Spain and Greece are using. If there's one thing I think the new Polish set could improve on, however, it would be having a more unique Wheel font, but just about everything else looks really good. The bold colors of the Wheel's wedges stand out pretty nicely.
