Thanks Mario! I need to find something a little "tougher" to use as spinners right now. I used WD40 to loosen up the wheel.....about two years ago, and it's still spinning like a dream. Small problem is, it spins for awhile before slowing down, so I need something to add friction. Since it's mounted on a table that is hexagonal and has very little room to enter underneath the wheel, I can't put anything on the mechanism itself. Right now, I'm using sturdy foam-board for the clickers which is providing enough friction now, but I'd like just a little more.

Add small weights to the bottoms of the flippers. That should keep the wheel from spinning so long. Because your wheel is a bit heavier you're going to need something relatively heavy to slow it down.

Has anybody lost any blood while making their homemade wheels? I ask because yesterday at 1am I had to go to the ER because I made a pretty nice cut on my middle finger. The doctor had to glue it together because the cut was to close to my nail to stitch it. Needless to say I don't need makeup to look like I'm starting to turn into a zombie

Why do you think it took me *three* tries to attach the lazy susan to the wheel and the table? I've lost a few ounces for this game Thanks Wheelgenius--if I hadn't stumbled across your deviantart page and then these forums--that wheel wouldn't have been possible!

Trying out a new outline technique with a generic old school style car wedge.

Nice wedge! I have some questions--I'd like to start making wedges with the templates that are one here and I was wondering if WheelGenius (or anyone with his permission) could post a link to his updated vector set? The links in the thread are outdated. Also, what are the specs for the Drop Shadow plugin for Paint.NET? Lastly--how do you guys get the "sparkly" texture on the wedges that you're printing out? It's amazing and mind-boggling!

If you're up for it, here's my tutorial for Paint.NET that I sent to MarioGS a couple months ago.

Thanks guys. Any chance I could receive the vectors, or do I have to wait for WG to give the ok?

Really close to finishing my BOLTed wheel. I've got the main layout cutout and onto black foamboard. Just doing the specialty wedges so look out for pictures throughout the end of the week.

You can't spend any of that, so you need to spin the wheel.

For my ideas of new wedges that will be introduced in the next season, can someone create the orange $100 wedge with the tag on the bottom that reads "OR BANKRUPT," and a yellow $750 with the tag on the top that reads "FREE PLAY"? My idea for the new "$100 Or Bankrupt" Wedge is that when the contestant lands on that wedge and call a wrong letter, a slide whistle sounds and the contestant loses everything and their turn. My placement ideas for those is that the "$100 Or Bankrupt" Wedge will be replacing the Bankrupt between $650 and $900, and the yellow $750 with "FREE PLAY" on top will be replacing the original Free Play Wedge; the tags: "OR BANKRUPT" and "FREE PLAY" will be removed after Round 3, to lessen the chance of Pat having to spin again on the Final Spin.
EDIT: Note that when a contestant calls a vowel on "Free Play $750" Wedge, it acts like the original Free Play Wedge.

Try the 2006-present font for the wedges.

Hey Superking, I noticed that in step 3 in the tutorial you posted above, the font you used was a custom font that you made. How did you do that?

Could someone post a tutorial on making prize wedges and overlaying photos onto the wedge template?

Hey Superking, I noticed that in step 3 in the tutorial you posted above, the font you used was a custom font that you made. How did you do that? It was a project I started a while ago, but I never had time to finish it. If I ever get my site back up, I might upload it.
