And my version of the 1/2 Car Plate... The car plate is based on the Malaysian Vehicle Registration Plate format.

Here's a photo of a real-life Malaysian license plate to compare. I gotta say, I like Darell's better.

The Solve wedge. This wedge was used in the Malaysian version (used during and after Round 3) and was originally known as "Selesaikan" which basically means "Solve" in Malay. The concept is pretty simple: if you land on this wedge, you have to solve. If you can't, you'll go Bankrupt. If you are able to, you will double your winnings. If you solve the puzzle with no winnings in your bank (RM0), the minimum house limit (which is RM1,000) is doubled to RM2,000.

That's interesting. It's like a hybrid of Express and Jackpot with an added mandate. Bet it leads to a lot of ridiculous answers, too.

[ wedge] I'm sure you all might have heard about the Power Wedge right? However, it is only used in the Philippines version of this show and Bigjon's Wheel of Fortune PC game. I actually kinda like the concept of this wedge. So basically, if you land on this wedge and call out a right letter, you get to steal another player's winnings (let it be cash winnings in that round together with Wild Card, 1/2 Car Plate(s), Million Wedge, Prize Wedge, Gift Tag, etc.). The original design is actually an orange background with black letters. But my own version is green background with shiny yellow letters.

Technically, the Philippine version was not the only one to use this. I heard France's "Hold Up" worked the same way.

Almost reminds me of the "Take One Gift" feature from Concentration... wonder how well this would go over here in the States?

Probably not too well. If someone hits Power and neither opponent has any round cash or cardboard, then it falls flat and it's just a $0 wedge. It happened a lot on the Philippines version. I imagine more often than not, it wouldn't be useful in the US version.
And what if somebody takes a claimed MDW or 1/2 Car tag from another player? Would they have to solve that round to keep it or it is automatically "claimed"?

I would think they would have to solve it to claim it, at least, that's how it works on BigJon's game.

In BigJon's game, what happens if someone takes some cardboard from another player but doesn't solve... would it revert to whoever originally had it, or get taken out of play altogether?

The Super Bankrupt wedge. Technically, it works quite similar with Bankrupt, but your winnings in the current and previous rounds (including cash winnings and prizes) will be bankrupted as well. It was actually used in the Malaysian version of the show in one of the special weeks in the 5th season in 2000. It was originally known as "Raja Muflis" or if direct translation, "King of Bankruptcy". If the player lands on it, instead of the normal Bankrupt whistling sound, an alarm is heard followed by the Bankrupt whistling sound. And it was the only week where there were 2 Bankrupts being used; the Bankrupt (Muflis) and Super Bankrupt (Raja Muflis) and a RM5000 wedge throughout all the rounds.

AHH MY EYES! GET IT AWAY! But seriously, this wedge definitely adds the danger and risk part of the game, I would like to see this used. Now as I was saying... OH MY GOD, IT'S SO EVIL!!!! That is all

The reverse wedge. It was used in the Malaysian version of the show from Season 4 as was known as "Undur" or technically "reverse". The concept of this wedge kinda doesn't make sense. If a player lands on this wedge, the turn is passed on to the previous player; i.e. when a yellow player hits this wedge, the red player gets the turn. If the red player loses their turn, it's the yellow player's turn again and so on.

Been a long time since I reared my head here.
Anyway, does anyone have a template for the gift tags?
